Current broadcast teams

Prior to the 2014–15 season, Hockey Night in Canada was split regionally on various CBC stations. As of the 2024–25 season, it is now split with CBC, Citytv, and selected Sportsnet channels. Before Sportsnet acquired national NHL broadcast rights, CBC used to have fixed broadcast teams. After Sportsnet acquired the rights to the NHL and Hockey Night, the quantity of nationally televised games has increased and there are no fixed broadcast teams. Sportsnet has mixed in its own broadcasters with some of the original crew and they all shuffle weekly for which Canadian market team they do play-by-play and colour commentary they do.

Kelly Hrudey is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who is a broadcaster with Sportsnet as a studio analyst for Hockey Night in Canada and colour commentator for Calgary Flames regional broadcasts. During his playing career, Hrudey played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks from 1983 to 1998.

Hockey Central is the brand used for programs and segments covering hockey on the Canadian sports channel Sportsnet. The Hockey Central name encompasses several programs, including segments aired during Sportsnet Central, pre-game reports for Hockey Night in Canada and other NHL telecasts on Sportsnet, CBC, Citytv, and the Sportsnet 590 radio show Hockey Central at Noon.
