Persian Gulf Pro League Iranian association football league

The Persian Gulf Pro League, formerly known as the Iran Pro League, is the highest division of professional football in Iran. It is the top-level football league in Iran since its foundation on 2 November 2001. Each year, its top team becomes the Iranian football champion, and the two lowest finishers are relegated to Azadegan League.

The 2010–11 Azadegan League was the 20th season of the Azadegan League and tenth as the second highest division since its establishment in 1991. The season featured 19 teams from the 2009–10 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2009–10 Persian Gulf Cup: Moghavemat Shiraz, Aboumoslem and Esteghlal Ahvaz and four new teams promoted from the 2009–10 2nd Division: Sepidrood as champions, Naft Masjed Soleyman, Shahrdari Yasouj and Foolad Yazd. Foolad Natanz replaced Sepahan Novin, Machine Sazi replaced Petroshimi Tabriz and Sanat Sari replaced Mehrkam Pars. Shensa Arak changed their name into Hamyari Arak. The league started on 23 September 2010 and ended on 9 May 2011. Damash won the Azadegan League title for the first time in their history. Damash, Mes Sarcheshmeh and Moghavemat Shiraz promoted to the Persian Gulf Cup.

The season featured 15 teams from the 2010–11 Persian Gulf Cup and three new teams promoted from the 2010–11 Azadegan League: Damash as champions, Mes Sarcheshmeh and Fajr Sepasi. The league started on 2 August 2011 and ended on 11 May 2012. Sepahan won the Pro League title for the fourth time in their history.

The 2011–12 season was the Persepolis's 11th season in the Pro League, and their 29th consecutive season in the top division of Iranian Football. They competed in the Champions League. They also competed in the Hazfi Cup but were eliminated by Esteghlal in the quarter-finals. Persepolis is captained by Ali Karimi.

The 2011–12 season are the Sepahan Football Club's 11th season in the Iran Pro League, and their 19th consecutive season in the top division of Iranian football which they won their 4th title in this season. They also competed in the Hazfi Cup but were eliminated by Foolad in Round of 32 and are also competing in AFC Champions League, and 59th year in existence as a football club.

The 2011–12 season was the Tractor Sazi Football Club's 4th season in the Iran Pro League, their 3rd consecutive season in the top division of Iranian football, and their 41st year in existence as a football club. They also competed in the Hazfi Cup, where they were eliminated in the Round of 32 by Shahrdari Yasuj.

2012–13 Persian Gulf Cup Season of the Iranian Pro League

The 2012–13 Persian Gulf Cup was the 30th season of Iran's Football League and 12th as Iran Pro League since its establishment in 2001. Sepahan were the defending champions. The season featured 15 teams from the 2011–12 Persian Gulf Cup and three new teams promoted from the 2011–12 Azadegan League: Paykan as champions, Aluminium Hormozgan and Gahar Zagros. The league started on 19 July 2012 and ended on 10 May 2013. Esteghlal won the Pro League title for the third time in their history.

The 2012–13 season was Damash's 3rd season in the Pro League, and their 2nd consecutive season in the top division of Iranian football and 5th year in existence as a football club. They competed in the Hazfi Cup. Damash was captained by Mohammad Reza Mahdavi.

2013–14 Persian Gulf Cup 31st season of top-tier football league in Iran

The 2013–14 Persian Gulf Cup was the 31st season of Iran's Football League and 13th as Iran Pro League since its establishment in 2001. Esteghlal were the defending champions. The season featured 14 teams from the 2012–13 Persian Gulf Cup and two new teams promoted from the 2012–13 Azadegan League: Esteghlal Khuzestan and Gostaresh both as champions. The league started on 24 July 2013 and ended on 11 April 2014. Foolad won the Pro League title for the second time in their history.
