Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang is a retired Malaysian politician. He was the longest-serving leader of the opposition in Malaysia, having held the position for a total of 29 years on three separate occasions, as well as the second longest-serving member of parliament. He was also the former Secretary-General and National Chairman of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), which is a component party of the Pakatan Harapan coalition.

Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon is a Malaysian politician. He was the Chief Minister of Penang from 1990 to 2008 and was appointed as a Senator; a member of the Dewan Negara, the upper house of the Malaysian Parliament. In April 2009, Koh was appointed Minister in the Prime Minister's Department by Prime Minister Najib Razak. He was famously known for contributing in the Sungai Pinang campaign where he took almost 10 years and failed to complete it.
Fong Kui Lun is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukit Bintang since November 1999 and Klang from October 1990 to April 1995. He is a member of Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR), Barisan Alternatif (BA) as well as Gagasan Rakyat (GR) coalitions. He has also served as the Treasurer-General of DAP since 1999.

He served as 8th Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat from April 2008 to April 2018, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department from December 1999 to November 2002, State Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of Sabah from May 1997 to March 1999, State Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Sabah from March 1994 to May 1997, Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Tempasuk from March 2004 to March 2008 and Usukan from 1982 to 1985 and President of the People's Justice Front (AKAR) from 1989 to 1995.
The Leader of the Opposition in Malaysian Federal Politics is a Member of Parliament in the Dewan Rakyat. The Leader of the Opposition is, by convention, the leader of the largest political party in the Dewan Rakyat that is not in government.
The Alliance Party was a political coalition in Malaysia. The Alliance Party, whose membership comprised United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) and Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), was formally registered as a political organisation on 30 October 1957. It was the ruling coalition of Malaya from 1957 to 1963, and Malaysia from 1963 to 1973. The coalition became the Barisan Nasional in 1973.
The Malayan Peoples' Socialist Front or better known as Socialist Front (SF) or Barisan Sosialis (BS) was a left-wing coalition of Malaysian socialist parties. It was among the longest-standing opposition coalitions in Malaysian general election history. The coalition was formed by Parti Rakyat Malaya (PRM) and the Parti Buruh Malaya on Hari Merdeka in 1957. In 1964, National Convention Party (NCP) joined the coalition. PRM left the coalition in 1965 and NCP soon become inactive. The Labour Party, the only remaining party in SF, abandoned it on 10 January 1966 and reverted to its own banner.

Dato' Dr. Tan Kee Kwong is a Malaysian politician of Chinese origin. He served as a Member of Parliament for Wangsa Maju representing People's Justice Party (PKR) of Pakatan Harapan coalition between 2013 and 2018. Previously, he was the Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Gerakan) Member of Parliament for Segambut for three terms from 1995 to 2008 and was the deputy minister of Land and Cooperative Development from 1999 to 2004 in the Barisan Nasional (BN) federal government. He later joined PKR in 2008 and currently sat on the party disciplinary board.
Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Kadir bin Sheikh Fadzir is a Malaysian politician and former seven-term Member of Parliament (MP) of Malaysia representing Kulim-Bandar Baharu constituency in the state of Kedah. He also formerly served as the Minister of Information (1999–2006), Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism (1997–2004) in the Cabinet of Malaysia.
