<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mensa International</span> Largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world

Mensa is the largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world. It is a non-profit organisation open to people who score at the 98th percentile or higher on a standardised, supervised IQ or other approved intelligence test. Mensa formally comprises national groups and the umbrella organisation Mensa International, with a registered office in Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, England, which is separate from the British Mensa office in Wolverhampton.

Jack Cohen was a British reproductive biologist also known for his science books and involvement with science fiction.

Jean Marie Auel is an American writer who wrote the Earth's Children books, a series of novels set in prehistoric Europe that explores human activities during this time, and touches on the interactions of Cro-Magnon people with Neanderthals. Her books have sold more than 45 million copies worldwide.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Triple Nine Society</span> High IQ society

The Triple Nine Society (TNS) is an international high-IQ society for adults whose score on a standardized test demonstrates an IQ at or above the 99.9th percentile of the human population. The society recognizes scores from over 20 intelligence and academic aptitude tests. TNS was founded in 1978. Since 2010, it has been a non-profit 501(c)(7) organization incorporated in Virginia, USA. It is the second-largest high-IQ society after Mensa. As of February 2024, TNS reports a member base of over 1,900 adults in 50 countries.

Densa has been used as the name of a number of fictional organizations parodying Mensa International, the organization for highly intelligent people. Densa is ostensibly an organization for people insufficiently intelligent to be members of Mensa. The name Densa has been said to be an acronym for "Diversely Educated Not Seriously Affected." The name Densa is a portmanteau of denser and Mensa.

Barry Nolan is an American former presenter on Comcast Cable's CN8 channel, once hosting the shows Nitebeat,Backstage, and Backstage with Barry Nolan. He is a panelist on Says You!, a weekend radio word quiz show produced by Pipit and Finch and carried on many public radio stations. Following the death of the program's creator and original host Richard Sher in 2015, Nolan became the program's second host until rejoining the panel in 2017.
