Morning Edition is an American radio news program produced and distributed by NPR. It airs weekday mornings and runs for two hours, and many stations repeat one or both hours. The show feeds live from 5:00 to 9:00 AM ET, with feeds and updates as required until noon. The show premiered on November 5, 1979; its weekend counterpart is Weekend Edition. Morning Edition and All Things Considered are among the highest rated public radio shows.
ABC News is the news division of the American television network ABC. Its flagship program is the daily evening newscast ABC World News Tonight with David Muir; other programs include morning news-talk show Good Morning America, Nightline, Primetime, 20/20, and Sunday morning political affairs program This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
All Things Considered (ATC) is the flagship news program on the American network National Public Radio (NPR). It was the first news program on NPR, premiering on May 3, 1971. It is broadcast live on NPR affiliated stations in the United States, and worldwide through several different outlets, formerly including the NPR Berlin station in Germany. All Things Considered and Morning Edition were the highest rated public radio programs in the United States in 2002 and 2005. The show combines news, analysis, commentary, interviews, and special features, and its segments vary in length and style. ATC airs weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time (live) or Pacific Time or from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time. A weekend version of ATC, Weekend All Things Considered, airs on Saturdays and Sundays.
Robert Alan Edwards was an American broadcast journalist who was a Peabody Award-winning member of the National Radio Hall of Fame. He hosted both of National Public Radio's flagship news programs, the afternoon All Things Considered, and Morning Edition, where he was the first and longest serving host in the latter program's history. Starting in 2004, Edwards hosted The Bob Edwards Show on Sirius XM Radio and Bob Edwards Weekend distributed by Public Radio International to more than 150 public radio stations. Those programs ended in September 2015.
Weekend Edition is a set of American radio news magazine programs produced and distributed by National Public Radio (NPR). It is the weekend counterpart to the NPR radio program Morning Edition. It consists of Weekend Edition Saturday and Weekend Edition Sunday, each of which airs for two hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Eastern time, with refeeds until 2:00 p.m. Weekend Edition Saturday is hosted by Scott Simon. Weekend Edition Sunday is hosted by Ayesha Rascoe.
Jason DeRose is the religion correspondent for National Public Radio News, based at NPR West in Culver City, California. He reports on the ways belief shapes American public life and the ways American life shapes religious expression. His reports are heard on Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Weekend Edition.
Renée Montagne is an American radio journalist and was the co-host of National Public Radio's weekday morning news program, Morning Edition, from May 2004 to November 11, 2016. Montagne and Inskeep succeeded longtime host Bob Edwards, initially as interim replacements, and Greene joined the team in 2012. Montagne had served as a correspondent and occasional host since 1989. She usually broadcasts from NPR West in Culver City, California, a Los Angeles suburb.
Leslie Roberts is a Canadian television and radio personality, who recently left Ottawa as the host of CTV Morning Live and his talkshow 9-noon on CFRA in Ottawa. He was previously the host of The Leslie Roberts Show on CJAD in Montreal. From 2001-2015 he was anchor and senior editor at Global Toronto.
Mary Louise Kelly is an American broadcaster and author. She anchors the daily news show All Things Considered on National Public Radio (NPR), and previously covered national security at the network. Prior to NPR she reported for CNN and the BBC in London. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, The Atlantic, and other publications. Her first novel, Anonymous Sources, was published in 2013; her second, The Bullet, in 2015; and her memoir, It. Goes. So. Fast.: The Year of No Do-Overs, in 2023.
James J. McIntye, known as Jamie McIntyre, is an American journalist best known for his stint as CNN's military affairs and senior Pentagon correspondent from 1992 to 2008. His career spans more than four decades, beginning in 1975 with a part-time job as a Sunday morning disc jockey at WDVH, a 5,000-watt country music “daytimer” radio station in Gainesville, Fla., to his current position as senior writer for defense and national security at the Washington Examiner.
Lynn Neary is a former American radio journalist. She was a correspondent on National Public Radio and on National Desk's Arts and Information Unit, covering books and publishing.
Daniel Zwerdling is an American investigative journalist who has written for major magazines and newspapers. From 1980 to 2018 he served as an investigative reporter for NPR News, with stints as foreign correspondent and host of Weekend All Things Considered from 1993 to 1999. Zwerdling retired from NPR in 2018.
Dale Willman is an American journalist. He is currently a newscaster for NPR. Prior to that, he worked for the Earth Institute of Columbia University, where he offered training for journalists. From 2017 until 2020, he was a program manager in the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, where he ran a climate resilience fellowship for journalists. He returned in June 2016 from South Sudan, where he served as Lead Trainer and Civic Education Advisor for Internews. While there he worked with journalists at Radio Mayardit in Turalei, South Sudan.
Rachel Martin is an American journalist for NPR. She previously co-hosted Morning Edition and was previously a producer and reporter for KQED in San Francisco.
Arun Rath is an American radio producer and broadcast journalist.
Stephanie Sy is an American television news anchor and reporter for the PBS NewsHour.
CNN Philippines Newsroom or simply Newsroom was the flagship rolling newscast service of CNN Philippines. It premiered on March 16, 2015, as a standalone noontime newscast and was expanded into different editions since February 15, 2016.
Noel King is a co-host and editorial director of the podcast and radio show Today Explained for Vox. She is a graduate of Brown University, and comes from Kerhonkson, New York. King began working in radio in 2004 in Khartoum as a freelance journalist for the Voice of America. She also worked for Public Radio International's The World, and was a correspondent for the Planet Money podcast. From 2018 through 2021, King was a host of NPR's Morning Edition and Up First.
