Rosenborg Ballklub is an association football club based in Trondheim, Norway. Twenty people have been manager of Rosenborg since 1965, when the position was created. [1] Rosenborg reached the First Division (from 1992 the Norwegian Premier League) in 1967 and has played at that level ever since, except in 1978. Nils Arne Eggen is the club's longest-serving manager, having led the team for 22 seasons in five spurs between 1971 and 2010. He won the premiership in his inaugural season and has led the team for 14 of the club's 23 league-winning seasons. [1] Eggen is also the one with the most matches as manager of Rosenborg, with 729 matches, while Tor Røste Fossen and Jon Jönsson, who are split second on the list, only were in charge of the team for 89 matches. Erik Hamrén managed the team for 85 matches between 2008 and 2010, before he took over the Sweden national team. [2] Per Joar Hansen, who led the team for one season in 2006, has been the manager since 2013.

Rosenborg Ballklub, commonly referred to simply as Rosenborg or RBK, is a Norwegian professional football club from Trondheim that plays in Eliteserien. The club has won a record 26 league titles, a shared record 12 Norwegian Football Cup titles and have played more UEFA matches than any other Norwegian team. RBK play their home games at the all-seater Lerkendal Stadion which has a capacity of 21,421.
Nils Arne Eggen was a Norwegian footballer, manager and teacher from Orkdal. Eggen was closely tied to Rosenborg, the club he managed for 23 years between 1970 and 2010. He is Norway's most successful club manager throughout history, having won the Norwegian top division fifteen times and the Norwegian Football Cup six times as a manager. Eggen's tactical emphasis was on playing 4-3-3 and attacking football and his way of playing football has frequently been cited as an inspiration among players, coaches and clubs alike, both domestically and abroad. In his native Trøndelag, Eggen is revered and widely regarded as the greatest and most influential sports person in the region, even eclipsing Olympic champions such as Hjalmar Andersen and Petter Northug.
The Norwegian Football Cup is the main knockout cup competition in Norwegian football. It is run by the Football Association of Norway and has been contested since 1902, making it the oldest football tournament in the country. The tournament is commonly known as Cupen, NM or NM Cup, an acronym formed from Norgesmesterskap. These terms are used to describe both the men's and women's competitions. The equivalent competition for women's teams is the Norwegian Women's Football Cup.

Michael Kleppe Jamtfall is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played for Rosenborg from 2005 to 2012. Jamtfall spent parts of 2009 and 2010 on loan at Ranheim. After suffering from injuries throughout his career, he retired from top-level football in 2012 at the age of 25.

To avoid confusion with the other Norwegian football club named Kvik, which was also known as FK Kvik until 1997, FK Kvik is sometimes referred to as Kvik Trondheim. The club was founded in 1900, and is the oldest football club in Trondheim.

In addition, the club had also participated in two editions of the new UEFA competition UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL). Their home stadium is Lerkendal.
Rosenborg Ballklub is a football club from Trondheim, Norway. After permission was granted, it took the current name and joined the league system in 1928. Until 1937, Rosenborg played in the regional league, both in the A and B division, after numerous promotions and relegations. Since 1932, the team has played in the Norwegian Football Cup. It jointed the inaugural League of Norway in 1937, but the break-out of the Second World War in 1940 caused a halt to all organized sports.
Øystein Wormdal is a retired Norwegian footballer who played for Orkdal IL and Rosenborg BK. A right back, he was capped five times for Norway.

The rivalry between Molde and Rosenborg is a notable one in Norwegian football as both clubs are recognised for having great history and traditions.
