Rosenborg Ballklub is an association football club based in Trondheim, Norway. Twenty people have been manager of Rosenborg since 1965, when the position was created. [1] Rosenborg reached the First Division (from 1992 the Norwegian Premier League) in 1967 and has played at that level ever since, except in 1978. Nils Arne Eggen is the club's longest-serving manager, having led the team for 22 seasons in five spurs between 1971 and 2010. He won the premiership in his inaugural season and has led the team for 14 of the club's 23 league-winning seasons. [1] Eggen is also the one with the most matches as manager of Rosenborg, with 729 matches, while Tor Røste Fossen and Jon Jönsson, who are split second on the list, only were in charge of the team for 89 matches. Erik Hamrén managed the team for 85 matches between 2008 and 2010, before he took over the Swedish national team. [2] Per Joar Hansen, who led the team for one season in 2006, has been the manager since 2013.

Rosenborg Ballklub, commonly referred to simply as Rosenborg or RBK, is a Norwegian professional football club from Trondheim that plays in Eliteserien. The club has won a record 26 league titles, a shared record 12 Norwegian Football Cup titles and have played more UEFA matches than any other Norwegian team. RBK play their home games at the all-seater Lerkendal Stadion which has a capacity of 21,421.
Nils Arne Eggen was a Norwegian footballer, manager and teacher from Orkdal. Eggen was closely tied to Rosenborg, the club he managed for 23 years between 1970 and 2010. He is Norway's most successful club manager throughout history, having won the Norwegian top division fifteen times and the Norwegian Football Cup six times as a manager. Eggen's tactical emphasis was on playing 4-3-3 and attacking football and his way of playing football has frequently been cited as an inspiration among players, coaches and clubs alike, both domestically and abroad. In his native Trøndelag, Eggen is revered and widely regarded as the greatest and most influential sports person in the region, even eclipsing Olympic champions such as Hjalmar Andersen and Petter Northug.
Ola By Rise is a Norwegian football coach and former player. He played 18 seasons and 346 matches in the Norwegian top division.
Stig Inge Bjørnebye is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played in Norway, England, and Denmark, most notably for Liverpool, and is currently the sports director of the Danish football club AGF Aarhus. His preferred position was left back, which he occupied for domestic clubs and the national team. Bjørnebye was appointed assistant manager of Norway in 2003, relinquishing the role three years later to succeed Tom Nordlie as manager of IK Start. He was the sports director of Rosenborg Ballklub from March 2015 until November 2019.
The Lerkendal Stadion is an all-seater football stadium located at Lerkendal in Trondheim, Norway. The home ground of the Eliteserien (2017) side Rosenborg BK, it has a capacity for 21,405 spectators, making it the second-largest football stadium in the country.
Michael Kleppe Jamtfall is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played for Rosenborg from 2005 to 2012. Jamtfall spent parts of 2009 and 2010 on loan at Ranheim. After suffering from injuries throughout his career, he retired from top level football in 2012 at the age of 25.
Thomas Henry Cavanagh was an English footballer and coach. As a player, he was an inside-forward at six professional clubs, most notably Huddersfield Town, Doncaster Rovers and was player manager at Cheltenham Town, where he was sacked as manager for swearing during matches after complaints by two supporters' club members.
Jon Inge Høiland is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He has been capped 25 times while playing for Norway.
Bjørn Hansen was a Norwegian football player and coach. Hansen was head coach for Rosenborg BK in part of the 1985 season and assistant coach 1988-89 and 1991–96. The club dominated Norwegian football at this time, winning the premier league most seasons, as well as the Norwegian cup in several of them. He was also assistant coach for Norwegian national team from 1994 to 1998, including at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Kåre Rønnes is a Norwegian former football player and coach. He played all his career in Rosenborg BK, Trondheim.
Tor Røste Fossen was a Norwegian football player and coach. He played for Rosenborg from 1964 to 1971, earning two Norwegian Premier League titles and one Norwegian Cup championship. He coached several Norwegian clubs besides coaching the Norway national football team during ten years 1978–1987.
Fotballklubben Kvik is a Norwegian association football club from Trondheim. To avoid confusion with the other Norwegian football club named Kvik, which was also known as FK Kvik until 1997, FK Kvik is sometimes referred to as Kvik Trondheim. The club was founded in 1900, and is the oldest football club in Trondheim.
Harald Sunde is a Norwegian former football player and coach. He played for Rosenborg BK in Trondheim in three periods from 1967 to 1979, in seven seasons in the Norwegian Premier League he played 104 matches and scored 30 goals. Sunde was capped 39 times for Norway national football team and scored five goals. Sunde coached Rosenborg BK in parts of the 1983 season.
Rosenborg Ballklub is an association football club from Trondheim, Norway. The team has participated in 32 seasons of Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) club competitions, including 21 seasons in the European Cup and Champions League, 16 seasons in the UEFA Cup and Europa League, one season in the Cup Winners' Cup and one season in the Intertoto Cup. Rosenborg has played six times in the UEFA Cup after qualifying via the Champions League and once via the Intertoto Cup. It has played 206 UEFA games, resulting in 81 wins, 39 draws and 86 defeats. The club's first appearance was in the 1965–66 European Cup Winners' Cup, and it subsequently entered tournaments in six seasons until 1974–75. The club's next appearance was in the 1986–87 European Cup, and then in the 1989–90 European Cup. Since then, Rosenborg has been involved in a UEFA tournament every season except the 2006–07 season. The club's best performance is reaching the quarter-finals of the 1996–97 Champions League, while their only European trophy came when they co-won the 2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup.
Rosenborg Ballklub is a football club from Trondheim, Norway. It was established in 1917 as Odd by 12 boys, and played local friendlies, became it was not permitted to join the Football Association of Norway (NFF). After permission was granted, it took the current name and joined the league system in 1928. Until 1937, Rosenborg played in the regional league, both in the A and B division, after numerous promotions and relegations. Since 1932, the team has played in the Norwegian Football Cup. It jointed the inaugural League of Norway in 1937, but the break-out of the Second World War in 1940 caused a halt to all organized sports.
Øystein Wormdal is a retired Norwegian footballer who played for Orkdal IL and Rosenborg BK. A right back, he was capped five times for Norway.

The rivalry between Molde and Rosenborg is a notable one in Norwegian football as both clubs are recognised for having great history and traditions.
