The 2017 Mesterfinalen was the first edition of Mesterfinalen and the 3rd Norwegian super cup overall. Mesterfinalen is an annual game between the League champions and the Cup champions, or the League number two if, as with the 2017 final, the same team are reigning League and Cup champions. Rosenborg are reigning League and Cup champions while Brann are silver medalist from the 2016 season. The match was played at Brann Stadion in Bergen 29 March. [1]

Brann Stadion

Brann Stadion is a football stadium in Bergen, Norway. It was constructed in 1919, and has been the home of the football club Brann ever since. The stadium lies 3 km (1.9 mi) south of the city centre, at the foot of Mount Ulriken.

1996–97 UEFA Cup Winners Cup International football competition

The 1996–97 season of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was won by Barcelona after beating holders Paris Saint-Germain in the final. It was the last of four occasions that the Spanish club won the tournament.

2007 SK Brann season SK Brann 2007 football season

The 2007 season was SK Brann's 99th season and their 21st consecutive season in the Norwegian Premier League. Brann won the Norwegian Premier League in 2007. In the end, they finished 6 points ahead of their nearest rival, Stabæk. The team did cause a small sensation, and bitter disappointment among tens of thousands of Brann-supporters who had gathered in Bergen to watch the game live, on 20 October, by losing to Ålesund 1–2 in the 24th of 26 rounds, a match where a draw would have set aside all doubt about Brann's league win. However two days later, Viking defeated Brann's last rival to the gold medals Stabæk with a 2-1 result, thereby securing Brann the first league championship since 1963 anyway.

The 2008 season was SK Brann's 100th season and their 22nd consecutive season in the Norwegian Premier League.

The 2009 season was SK Brann's 101st season and their 23rd consecutive season in the Norwegian Premier League. Steinar Nilsen took over as head coach after the six-year tenure of Mons Ivar Mjelde. The club didn't see the big signings or sales in the January transferwindow. Local-lad Erlend Hanstveit left the club after 10 years, while thought-to-be star striker Njogu Demba-Nyrén was sold only one year after signing with the club following a season where his performance was below expectations.

Steinar Tenden is a Norwegian footballer who played as a striker for several teams in Norway and Iceland. He played one game in the Norwegian Premier League when he was in SK Brann.

The 2012 Norwegian Football Cup will the 107th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. It began with qualification matches in April 2012. The first round was played on 1 May 2012 and the tournament ended with the final on 25 November 2012. Aalesund was the defending champions, having beaten Brann 2–1 in last season's final, but was eliminated by Sandefjord in the Fourth Round.

The 1947 Norwegian Football Cup was the 42nd season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was played at Brann Stadion in Bergen on 19 October 1947, and Skeid secured their first title with a 2-0 win against Viking. Skeid had previously played two cup finals but lost both in 1939 and 1940, while it was Viking's second appearance in the final, having previously lost in 1933. The 2014 Tippeligaen was the 70th completed season of top division football in Norway. The competition began on 28 March 2014, two weeks later than in the previous season. A three-week summer-break in June was scheduled due to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and the decisive match was played on 9 November 2014. Strømsgodset were the defending champions. Bodø/Glimt and Stabæk joined as the promoted clubs from the 2013 1. divisjon. They replaced Tromsø and Hønefoss who were relegated to the 2014 1. divisjon.

Mesterfinalen Football league

Mesterfinalen, also known as UNICEF Mesterfinalen due to its cooperation with UNICEF, is a Norwegian association football competition contested between the champions of the previous Eliteserien season and the holders of the Norwegian Football Cup. If the same team is both reigning League and Cup champions, the silver medalist from the league provides the opposition. The competition was founded in 2009, then known as Superfinalen. Superfinalen was not arranged between 2011 and 2016 before it was rebranded and again arranged in 2017. The fixture is a recognised competitive football super cup.

The 2018 Mesterfinalen was the second edition of Mesterfinalen and the 4th Norwegian super cup overall. Mesterfinalen is the annual game between the League champions and the Cup champions in Norway, or the second-placed team in Eliteserien if the same team are both reigning League and Cup champions. The final was played on 26 April between league champions and defending Mesterfinalen champions Rosenborg and the Cup champions Lillestrøm. The match was due to be played 5 March, but due to weather conditions it was moved to 26 April.

The 2017 season was the 112th season of competitive football in Norway.

The 2019 Mesterfinalen was supposed to be the third edition of Mesterfinalen and the 5th Norwegian super cup overall. Mesterfinalen is the annual game between the League champions and the Cup champions in Norway, or the second-placed team in Eliteserien if the same team are reigning League and Cup champions. The final will be played in March between league and cup champions and defending Mesterfinalen champions Rosenborg and the runner-up in the league, Molde.
