The 2025 season is Rosenborg's 46th consecutive year in the top flight now known as Eliteserien, their 57th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. In addition to the Eliteserien, the club will participate in the Norwegian Cup and the Europa Conference League entering at the Second Qualifying round. This is Alfred Johansson's second season in charge of Rosenborg.

Svein Maalen took over as interim manager with Trond Henriksen as assistant.

    The 2023 season was Vålerenga Fotball's 110th season in existence and the club's 22nd consecutive season in the top flight of Norwegian football. In addition to the domestic league, Vålerenga Fotball participated in this season's edition of the Norwegian Football Cup.
