The 2025 Toppserien is scheduled to be the 39nd season of the highest women's football league in Norway. The season is set to run from 23 March 2025 to 15 November 2025, not including play-off matches. [1]
Hønefoss and Bodø/Glimt were promoted from the 2024 First Division. They are set to replace Arna-Bjørnar and Åsane, who were relegated from the 2024 Toppserien.

The ninth placed team will face the second placed team of the First Division in a two-legged play-off to decide who will play in the Toppserien next season. [2]

Number thirteen and fourteen are relegated, number twelve has to play two qualification matches against number three in the first division for the last spot.

They finished as champions of the Eliteserien for the first time, and in turn qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time, whilst the Norwegian Cup was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Norway. In Europe, Bodø/Glimt reached the Third Qualifying Round of the Europa League where they were knocked out by Milan.
