In basketball, points are the sum of the score accumulated through free throws or field goals. [1] The VTB United League's scoring title is awarded to the player with the highest points per game average in a given regular season.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">VTB United League</span> Basketball league

The VTB United League is an international professional men's club basketball league that was founded in 2009. It is made up of mostly Russian clubs, along with one each from Belarus and Kazakhstan. Since 2013, it is the first tier of Russian professional club basketball. Therefore, the highest placed Russian team in the league can also be named the Russian national champions. The league is sponsored by Russian state-owned VTB Bank. In 2009 CSKA Moscow won VTB United League Promo-Cup, but this competition does not count as official VTB title. CSKA has dominated the league, having won majority of titles its existence. The VTB United League also holds a youth competition, the VTB United Youth League.

The VTB United League Sixth Man of the Year is an annual VTB United League award given since the 2013–14 VTB United League season to the league's most valuable player for his team coming off the bench as a substitute.

The VTB United League Most Valuable Player award is an annual award that is given to the most valuable player of the Northeast European regional VTB United League, which is the 1st-tier professional basketball league of Russia. The award has been given since the 2009–10 VTB United League season.

The VTB United League Young Player of the Year is an annual VTB United League award given since the 2012–13 VTB United League season to the league's best young player. Players who are under age 23 are eligible.

The VTB United League Coach of the Year is an annual VTB United League award given since the 2013–14 VTB United League season to the league's best coach. The award is handed out after the regular season.

The VTB United League Defensive Player of the Year is an annual VTB United League award given since the 2013–14 VTB United League season to the league's best defender.

The 2016–17 VTB United League was the 8th complete season of the VTB United League. It is also the fourth season that the league functions as the Russian domestic first tier level. CSKA Moscow was the defending champion and successfully defended its title. This season, 13 teams participated in the league after four sides from the previous year left.

The 2020–21 VTB United League was the 12th season of the VTB United League. It was the eight season that the league functions as the Russian domestic first tier level.

The 2022–23 VTB United League was the 14th season of the VTB United League. It was the 10th season that the league functions as the Russian domestic top tier level. It started on 2 October 2022 with the regular season and ended on 16 May 2023 with the finals.
