The Iranian ambassador in Madrid is the official representative of the Government in Tehran to the Government of Spain.

Contents

The Persian mission in Madrid, was founded in September 1916 by Mirza Esmail Khan Dabirolmolk Farzaneh who until August 1919 was Persian Plenipotentiary Minister.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mohammad Shah Qajar</span> Shah of Iran from 1834 to 1848

Mohammad Shah was the third Qajar shah of Iran from 1834 to 1848, inheriting the throne from his grandfather, Fath-Ali Shah. From a young age, Mohammad Mirza was under the tutelage of Haji Mirza Aqasi, a local dervish from Tabriz whose teachings influenced the young prince to become a Sufi-king later in his life. After his father Abbas Mirza died in 1833, Mohammad Mirza became the Crown Prince of Iran and was created the Governor of Azarbaijan. After the death of Fath-Ali Shah in 1838, some of his sons including Hossein Ali Mirza and Ali Mirza Zel as-Soltan rose up as claimants to the throne. With the support of English and Russian forces, Mohammad Shah suppressed the rebellious princes and asserted his authority.

The Persian Constitution of 1906, was the first constitution of the Sublime State of Persia, resulting from the Persian Constitutional Revolution and it was written by Hassan Pirnia, Hossein Pirnia, and Esmail Momtaz, among others. The Constitution was also in effect during Pahlavi Iran. It divides into five chapters with many articles that developed over several years. The Quran was the foundation of this constitution while the Belgian constitution served as a partial model for the document.

Sheikh Fazlollah bin Abbas Mazindarani, also known as Fazlollah Noori, was a major figure in Iranian Constitutional Revolution (1905-1911) as a Twelver Shia Muslim scholar and politically connected mullah of the court of Iran's shah (monarch). Originally a supporter of the constitution, he turned against it after the pro-constitution shah died and was replaced by one opposing the constitution. He was hanged as a traitor in 1909 by a court of the constitutionalist government for "sowing corruption and sedition on earth".
