Dorados de Sinaloa, or Dorados, is a Mexican professional football club based in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Tecos Fútbol Club is a Mexican professional football club associated with the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara AC. It plays its home games in the Estadio 3 de Marzo. The 30,015-seat facility is located in Zapopan, a municipality within the Guadalajara, Jalisco conurbation.
Estadio Neza 86 is a football stadium in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, a commuter town located east of Mexico City in the State of Mexico. The Liga Premier is the third tier of football in Mexico within the Mexican football league system that governs Serie A and Serie B leagues/group competitions. They compete from the fall to spring each season, promotion and relegation between each group, and promotion to Liga de Expansión MX and relegation to Liga TDP within the league system.

The champion of each tournament is decided via a playoff ("Liguilla") system. Since 2020, promotion and relegation has been suspended, which is to last until 2026.
Club Deportivo Cruz Azul Hidalgo, also known as Cruz Azul Hidalgo, was a professional football club in Mexico who last played in the Liga Premier league of Mexico. Their stadium was the Estadio 10 de Diciembre located in Ciudad Cooperativa Cruz Azul in Hidalgo and was the affiliate team of Cruz Azul. The team dissolved in 2014 after Zacatepec 1948 bought their spot to remain in Ascenso MX. But has a team in the Liga Premier de Ascenso, replace Cruz Azul Jasso.
Club Leones Negros de la Universidad de Guadalajara, also known as Leones Negros, Leones Negros UdeG, Universidad de Guadalajara, or UdeG, is a football club that currently plays in the Liga de Expansión MX.
Ascenso MX was the second tier of professional football in Mexico of the Mexican football league system. The champion of the competition was promoted to Liga MX. The bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier. It was sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA, and was officially known as Ascenso BBVA MX.
Club Deportivo Real Zamora was a Mexican football club that played in the Liga Premier - Serie A, however, from 2019 to 2020 season, the club is on hiatus because the club is in a process to improve its facilities and aspire to a promotion to the Liga de Expansión MX. The club was formed in 1950 and has played in the first division among other leagues in Mexico. In April 2016, Real Zamora defeated Sporting Canamy 2–0 to clinch a spot for the Ascenso to the Liga Premier de Ascenso against UAT B, after that Zamora defeated UAT B and earned the promotion to the LP.

Atlético de San Luis, is a Mexican professional football club based in San Luis Potosí, replacing San Luis Potosí's Liga MX team San Luis FC after its relocation. San Luis was promoted to Liga MX in 2019.
Fútbol Club Juárez, commonly referred to as Bravos de Juárez, or simply as Juárez, is a Mexican football club based in the city of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua that currently competes in Liga MX.
Tlaxcala Fútbol Club, commonly known as Coyotes de Tlaxcala, is a Mexican football club based in Tlaxcala. The club was founded in 2014, and currently plays in the second tier, Liga de Expansión MX. Tlaxcala won automatic promotion to Ascenso MX in the 2016–17 season, but their promotion was put on hold until the 2018–19 season as their stadium failed to meet league requirements. However, in 2020 the club was invited to the Liga de Expansión, the new second-level league and thus promoted category.
The 2016–17 Ascenso MX season is a two-part competition: Apertura 2016 began on 15 July 2016 and Clausura 2017. Ascenso MX is the second-tier football league of Mexico. All Ascenso MX teams except UAEM, U. de C., Tampico Madero, Correcaminos, Zacatepec and Sonora, will participate in Copa MX. The fixtures were announced on 9 June 2016.

The 2019–20 Ascenso MX season was a two-part competition: Apertura 2019 and Clausura 2020, which were the final two seasons of Ascenso MX, the second-tier football league of Mexico. Apertura began on 1 August 2019. On April 17, Liga MX President Enrique Bonilla announced the termination of the remainder of the Clausura 2020 tournament. Two reasons were the COVID-19 pandemic and the league's lack of financial resources.
