This is a list of awards and nominations received by Fantasia, an American singer-songwriter and actress. Grammy Award winner, Fantasia has earned numerous awards throughout her career, being mentioned in major international award ceremonies.

Contents

After winning the third season of American Idol , in 2004 she published hear debut single "I Believe" which won two Billboard Music Awards. Her debut studio album Free Yourself was published in 2005 and genered severals nominations, winning the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Female Artist and received three nominations at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards, including Grammy Award for Best R&B Album.

The following self-titled album garnered three 50th Annual Grammy Award nominations, including for Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “When I See U” and Best R&B Song for "When I See U". Her her third studio album, Back to Me , won the Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Song for the single "Bittersweet".

In 2007, Fantasia landed the role of Celie Harris-Johnson on the stage of Broadway musical The Color Purple, being recognized with the Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut Performance and a NAACP Theatre Awards for her performance in the U.S. tour production between 2009 and 2010. Fantasia reprised the role in her film debut in the 2023 film adaptation of The Color Purple , which earned her a Black Reel Award; she also received nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role and the Satellite Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture; along with receiving nominations for a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Critics' Choice Movie Award as part of the ensemble cast.

Fantasia Monique Barrino-Taylor, known professionally by her mononym Fantasia, is an American singer and actress. She rose to prominence in 2004 for her performance of the Porgy and Bess standard "Summertime" during the third season of American Idol, and eventually became that season's winner. Following her victory, Barrino became the second woman to have her first single debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, following Lauryn Hill, when her debut single "I Believe", launched atop the chart. Her accolades include two Billboard Music Awards and a Grammy Award, along with nominations for a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, and three American Music Awards.

In 2015, she made her Broadway debut in the musical revival of The Color Purple as Sofia, for which she received a nomination for the Tony Award and won the Grammy Award. In 2023, Brooks acted again as Sofia in Blitz Bazawule's film adaptation of the musical The Color Purple, being nominated for the Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA Award.

The Color Purple is a 2023 American coming-of-age musical period drama film directed by Blitz Bazawule. Marcus Gardley's screenplay is based on the stage musical of the same name, which in turn is based on the 1982 novel of the same name by Alice Walker. It is the second film adaptation of the novel, following the 1985 film directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Spielberg and Quincy Jones. Spielberg and Jones return as producers for the 2023 film, along with its Broadway producers Scott Sanders and Oprah Winfrey, the latter of whom also starred in the 1985 film.
