Chidambaram Town in Tamil Nadu, India

Chidambaram is a town and municipality in Cuddalore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the headquarters of the Chidambaram taluk. The town is believed to be of significant antiquity and has been ruled, at different times, by the Pallavas until 9th century, Medieval Cholas, Later Cholas, Later Pandyas, Vijayanagar Empire, Thanjavur Nayakas, Marathas and the British. The town is known for the Thillai Nataraja Temple and Thillai Kali Temple, and the annual chariot festival held in the months of December–January and June to July. One of the Divya Desams Divya Sri Govindaraja Perumal Temple (Thiruchitrakoodam) is a part of Thillai Nataraja Temple complex. Thiruvetkalam Shiva Temple, Vadakiruppu, Thirunelvayil Shiva Temple, Sivapuri and Tirukkazhippalai Palvannanathar Temple are the other three ancient Shiva temples in the region.

Ambattur is located in north west part of Chennai City, in Ambattur taluk of the Chennai District, surrounded by Avadi, Anna Nagar, Padi, Mogappair, Kallikuppam, Surapet, Korattur, Ayappakkam, and Thiruverkadu. It covers an area of 45 km2 (17 sq mi). The neighbourhood is served by Ambattur railway station of the Chennai Suburban Railway. Ambattur has its origins in a village of the same name which can be located at present as areas opposite to Ambattur telephone exchange. Ambattur was a village with large extents of agricultural farm lands irrigated by the once-sprawling Ambattur Lake. In 2011, the neighbourhood had a population 466,205.

St. Paul's Matriculation Higher Secondary School is an all-boys Catholic secondary school in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, India. The school was founded in 1972 by Rev. Fr. John Duraisamy, who requested the Archbishop of Pondy Cuddalore to open an all-boys English-language school in Neyveli. St.Paul's Matriculation Higher Secondary School is a brother institution of St.Joseph's of Cluny, Neyveli. St.Joseph's of Cluny started on 15 July 1968, swelled into 2300 students by 1975, with only VII standards. The segregation of the boys in a separate school was very keenly felt, and the time, in the providence of God, was not yet ripe. The challenge of opening this boys' school was accepted by the then Archbishop of Pondicherry and Cuddalore on 29 June 1977 and was inaugurated by MR. Radhakrishnan, the Deputy Chief Personnel Manager of Neyveli Lignite Corporation. Since then the school has grown into a Higher Secondary School with a strength of more than 3800 students. The institution has completed 40 years of service in the field of education and in developing the people in and around Neyveli.

This college, during its inception was under the administrative control of Anna University Tiruchirappalli. Dr.V.Ramachandran was the Founder Vice Chancellor of this university and he spearheaded the process of starting 6 new engineering colleges each at Ariyalur, Pattukottai, Thirukkuvalai, Panruti, Dindigul and Ramanathapuram. R.Sivaraman was the First Special Officer of this institution and V.Kumarasamy was the then Dean. All the initial infrastructures were created and subsequently the college was moved to Panikankuppam abutting Panruti. The college offers B.E. courses in various fields. As the Government of Tamil Nadu has adopted the online counselling for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) from the year 2018 onwards for all 540 affiliated colleges, this institution acts as the TNEA facilitating centre for the Cuddalore District.
