The Balearic Islands are a province and autonomous community in Spain and lie in the Mediterranean Sea east of mainland Spain. They are divided into 67 municipalities - 53 on the island of Mallorca (Majorca), 8 on the island of Menorca (Minorca), 5 on the island of Eivissa (Ibiza) and 1 comprising the island of Formentera.
The municipalities are grouped into 9 comarques ("comarcas" in Castillian Spanish) - six on the island of Mallorca (Palma de Mallorca, Serra de Tramuntana, Raiguer, Pla de Mallorca, Migjorn and Llevant), while the other islands each form one comarque. In the table below, Serra de Tramuntana and Pla de Mallorca are abbreviated to "Serra" and "Pla" respectively.
The Catalan form is the sole official one. Older texts may use Castillian (Spanish) forms or spellings and where different these names are given in brackets after the Catalan name.

Mallorca, or Majorca, is the largest island in the Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain and located in the Mediterranean.
Menorca or Minorca is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea belonging to Spain. Its name derives from its size, contrasting it with nearby Mallorca. Its capital is Mahón, situated on the island's eastern end, although Menorca is not a province and forms a political union with the other islands in the archipelago. Ciutadella and Mahon are the main ports and largest towns. The port of Mahon is the second biggest natural port in the world.
Cabrera is an island in the Balearic Islands, Spain, located in the Mediterranean Sea off the southern coast of Majorca. It is a National Park. The highest point is Na Picamosques.
Palma is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain. It is situated on the south coast of Mallorca on the Bay of Palma. The Cabrera Archipelago, though widely separated from Palma proper, is administratively considered part of the municipality. As of 2018, Palma Airport serves over 29 million passengers per year.
The Pityusic Islands, often referenced simply as the Pityuses, or commonly but informally as the Pine Islands, is the name given collectively to the Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Formentera, S'Espalmador and other small islets in the Mediterranean Sea.

Esporlas is a locality and Spanish municipality of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. Situated on the island of Majorca, around the zone of the Serra de Tramuntana. It's about 15 km from Palma de Mallorca. The town is divided into Vilavella and Vilanova. In its territory it also includes small urbanizations, like Ses Rotgetes de Canet y Es Verger.
Santa Margalida is a municipality with a population of 10,204 located in the northeast of the Spanish Balearic Island Majorca.

In Vilafranca de Bonany is a small municipality in the district of Pla on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands in Spain. It is an agricultural town, known for its market stalls along the highway selling spices, fruits, and vegetables as well as tiny doughnuts called bunyols in Majorcan language and buñuelos in Spanish, and also known for the historic Santa Barbara Church built in the 1730s.
The Battle of Majorca, also known as the Majorca Landings, was an amphibious landing of Republican forces early in the Spanish Civil War aimed at driving the Nationalists from Majorca and reclaiming the island for the Republic. After some initial tactical success, the expedition, commanded by Captain Alberto Bayo, ended in failure when the Nationalists counterattacked with ground troops and massively superior air power and drove the Republicans into the sea. So confident were the Republicans in their prediction of victory they optimistically called the operation "la reconquista de Mallorca" - "the reconquest of Majorca".

Serra de Na Burguesa is a well-defined mountain on the island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is the southernmost portion of the Serra de Tramuntana range, terminating in the Mediterranean Sea at Bay of Palma. Na Burguesa is located approximately halfway between Santa Ponsa and Palma. The municipality of Calvià is located between Na Burguesa and Serra de Tramuntana.
Peguera is a tourist town in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It has three large beaches and hundreds of hotels, hostels and apartments. The population is approximately 3,988 inhabitants. The town's name refers to the oven tar produced in this area from the pitch of pine tree resin.
Bendinat is a seaside village in the municipality of Calvià on the west coast of the island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is located at the foot of the Serra de Na Burguesa. Much of Bendinat is a residential area, and it is situated next to the town of Portals Nous. Its major thoroughfare is the county road C-719. The population is approximately 521.
The Balearic Islands Football Federation is the football association responsible for all competitions of any form of football developed in the Balearic Islands. It is integrated into the Royal Spanish Football Federation and its headquarters are located in Palma de Mallorca and has offices in the capitals of the provinces.
