Transport in Bolivia is mostly by road. The railways were historically important in Bolivia, but now play a relatively small part in the country's transport system. Because of the country's geography, aviation is also important.

Armed Forces of Bolivia Combined military forces of Bolivia

The Bolivian Armed Forces are the military of Bolivia. The Armed Forces of Bolivia are responsible for the defence, both of external and internal, of Bolivia and they are constituted by Bolivian Army, the Bolivian Air Force and the Bolivian Navy. All these institutions depend on the Ministry of Defence of this country.

The XII Bolivarian Games were a multi-sport event held between April 24 - May 2, 1993, in Cochabamba and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The Games were organized by the Bolivarian Sports Organization (ODEBO).

Municipalities of Bolivia

Municipalities in Bolivia are administrative divisions of the entire national territory governed by local elections. Municipalities are the third level of administrative divisions, below departments and provinces. Some of the provinces consist of only one municipality. In these cases the municipalities are identical to the provinces they belong to.

Bolivian Constituent Assembly of 2006–2007

The Bolivian Constituent Assembly, convened on August 6, 2006 in Sucre, with the purpose of drafting a new national constitution by December 14, 2007; extended from the original deadline of August 6, 2007. The Assembly approved the new Political Constitution of the State on 9 December 2007. It was put to a national referendum held on 25 January 2009, and went into force on 7 February 2009.

Boliviana de Aviación Bolivian flag-carrier airline

Empresa Pública Nacional Estratégica Boliviana de Aviación, operating as Boliviana de Aviación or BoA, is the flag carrier airline of Bolivia and is wholly owned by the country's government. It was established in October 2007 and began operations in March 2009. The airline is headquartered in Cochabamba with its main hub at Jorge Wilstermann International Airport and focus cities at El Alto International Airport and Viru Viru International Airport. Most international flights, however, including long-haul services to Madrid and Miami, operate out of Viru Viru in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Boliviana de Aviación currently flies to 13 destinations in 5 countries and is the largest airline in Bolivia in terms of fleet size and passengers carried.

2010 Bolivian regional elections

The 2010 Bolivian regional elections were held on 4 April 2010. Departmental and municipal authorities were elected by an electorate of approximately 5 million people. Among the officials elected are:

<i>Página Siete</i> Bolivian daily newspaper

Página Siete is a daily newspaper published in La Paz, Bolivia. It was founded on 24 April 2010. Página Siete focuses on politics and economics, but it also has social and culture sections. The government of Evo Morales made several complaints against Página Siete, leading to accusations of censorship of the press.

La Patria is a newspaper published in Oruro, Bolivia. The newspaper began publication on 19 March 1919.

Última Hora was a newspaper published in Bolivia. The newspaper began publication on 30 April 1929 and ceased publication in 2001.

The Supreme Court of Justice is the highest court of ordinary jurisdiction in Bolivia, based in Sucre. Its powers are set out in Articles 181–185 of the 2009 Constitution and the Law of the Judicial Organ. It was first seated on 2 January 2012.

Club Atlético Palmaflor Bolivian football club

Club Atlético Palmaflor, best known as Atlético Palmaflor and named Municipal Vinto until 2019, is a Bolivian football club based in Quillacollo. Founded in 2008, it plays in the Bolivian Primera División after being promoted for the 2020 season by winning the Copa Simón Bolívar the previous season.

2021 Bolivian regional elections Departmental and municipal elections in Bolivia

The 2021 Bolivian regional elections were held on 7 March 2021. Departmental and municipal authorities were elected by an electorate of approximately 7 million people. This was the third regional election under the 2009 constitution. It was postponed from the expected date of 2020 due to the 2019 Bolivian political crisis and delays in holding the 2020 Bolivian general election. All elected authorities assumed office on 3 May.
