This is a list of the main parks in Haikou, Hainan, China. There are six major parks in the city as well as numerous smaller parks.
Baishamen Park is located at the north shore of Haidian Island. This is one of the most-visited parks in the city.
It contains a small amusement park, a beach, and a short shopping street. There is a small lake in the centre with rental paddleboats. It is a fairly new park, being opened in January 2009. The total area is 60 hectares.
Binhai Park is named after Binhai Road, a main road which is its southern border. It is home to a large, bougainvillea hybrid exhibition each year. This park has a small lake and building used for community purposes in the middle. It is a well-maintained park with numerous walking paths, flower beds, and plenty of tree cover.
This park was once an amusement park. It was then turned into a park and called Hainan (Haikou) Youth Technology Park. Around 2015 to 2016 it was renovated again and named Binhai Park.
Century Park was created in 2013. [1] [2] [3] It consists of a large, open, brick-covered area at the west, and grassy areas in the middle and east. Century Bridge passes over it.
The Changying Global 100 Fantasty Park is an under-construction amusement park located around 12 km west of downtown Haikou, and around 7 km south of Haikou's west coast area.
Evergreen Park is a large park on the north shore of the main part of Haikou. It is located on Binhai Road. It is used for cultural events and is a popular place for flying kites.
A lake in the middle of the park has rental paddleboats. There are numerous jogging paths within the park. The west side has two outdoor restaurants. On the east side, south of the amusement park eastern park, there is the Haikou Great Hall of the People which hosts sporting events and product conventions. East of that is a lagoon.
This park has a small amusement park and food street at the east side. This is one of the most-visited parks in the city. It receives large crowds on weekends.
Golden Bull Mountain Ridge Park contains a large number of tree species and a bamboo forest. The park was built on a hill. At the top, there is a zoo and dove aviary.
Near the top, the Battle of the Liberation on Hainan Island Martyrs Cemetery is situated.
This park has a large lake at the east side with a small island.
Hainan International Friendship Park is essentially a long strip of grass.
The Meishe River National Wetland Park is an eco-park on the banks for the Meishe River.
People's Park is an old park in the centre of the city, south of the Bo'ai Road area. It has a monument to Feng Baiju. It is built on a hill and is popular with seniors for dancing and leisure activities. It has a large amount of tree cover. The park contains many features and amenities, including:
Haikou, formerly Hoikow, is the capital and most populous city of the Chinese province of Hainan. Haikou city is situated on the northern coast of Hainan, by the mouth of the Nandu River. The northern part of the city is on the Haidian Island, which is separated from the main part of Haikou by the Haidian River, a branch of the Nandu. Administratively, Haikou is a prefecture-level city, comprising four districts, and covering 2,280 square kilometres (880 sq mi). There are 2,046,189 inhabitants in the built-up area, all living within the four urban districts of the city.
Haikou Meilan International Airport is the airport serving Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province, China. It is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of the city center and was opened in 1999, replacing the old Dayingshan Airport located along what is now the city's Guoxing Avenue. The airport is operated by Hainan Meilan International Airport Company Limited.
Xinbu Island is a coastal island located directly to the east of Haidian Island in Haikou, Hainan, China. This island, located at the mouth of the Nandu River, has a population of approximately 4,000 people. Xinbu Island effectively splits the Nandu River as it flows north to the sea. The main part of the river flows along the east coast of the island while the Huanggou Channel, a distributary, flows along the west coast.
Haikou Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark, also known as Haikou Scenic-Shishan Volcano Cluster, Leiqiong Global Geopark, Haikou Crater Park, and Hainan Crater Park is a national park located approximately 8 mi south of Haikou, Hainan, China. It is named for a crater, one of many extinct volcanoes on the island.
Hainan Ocean Paradise is a marine life theme park that opened 22 December 2021 in Lingshui County, Hainan Province, China.
Evergreen Park is a public park located in Longhua District, Haikou, Hainan Province, China. It is the largest park in the city.
Haikou City Stadium is located at the southeastern corner of Evergreen Park, Haikou, Hainan, China.

Century Park is an 8.40-hectare, public park located downtown Haikou, in the Longhua district of the city, Hainan Province, China. It is located northwest of Binhai Park and east of Evergreen Park. The Haikou Century Bridge travels over part of it.
Haikou Port New Seaport is a seaport located around 1 km north of South Port, Haikou, Hainan, China. It has 8 passenger and cargo berths, and a capacity for one million vehicles and 6 million passengers annually. It will become the main port receiving ships from Guangdong. The project began construction on December 25, 2015. It officially opened January 26, 2017. The total investment in the project is 3.8 billion yuan.
The Wuyuan River Stadium is a stadium in Haikou's west coast area, Hainan, China. It is Hainan's largest stadium.
Hongcheng Lake is a lake in Haikou, Hainan, China. It was renovated around 2017 to 2018. It has three islands. Two small, and one, at the west side, is larger with short bridge access and an old, dilapidated building on it.
East Lake Triangle Pool, commonly known as East Lake, is a set of two small lakes in the East Lake area of Haikou, Hainan, China. It is located at the south-west corner of the Bo'ai Road area and at the north side of People's Park.
The Meishe River is a river within Haikou City, Hainan, China. Its source is the spillway at the east end of the Shapo Reservoir located just south of the city. The Meishe flows eastward under Longkun Road south of the Haikou East Railway Station. It then turns north, past the Meishe River National Wetland Park and winds northward through the east side of urban Haikou, under Guoxing Avenue, finally emptying into the Haidian River just east of Heping Bridge.
