List of shootings in Sweden

This is a highly incomplete list of shootings in Sweden, ordered from newest to oldest. Seventeen people were killed by firearms in Sweden in 2011, but by 2017, more than 300 shootings had resulted in 41 deaths and more than 100 people injured. [1] By 2022, the number of deaths had risen to 60. [2]

10 January 2004 Knutby, Uppland 112 Knutby murder: Alexandra Fossmo was killed. Her employer, 30-year-old IT entrepreneur Daniel Linde, was shot in the head and chest, but survived. [5] [6]
June 2003-October 2010 Malmö, Scania 31215Between June 2003 and October 2010, Serial killer Peter Mangs shot 15 immigrants in Malmö, killing 3 and injuring 12.

23 July 1997 Ramberget, Gothenburg 101 Keillers Park murder: A man named Josef ben Meddour, aged 36, was murdered in Keillers park.
4 December 1994 Stureplan, Stockholm 404 Tommy Zethraeus killed three women and a bouncer. They were all shot at the entrance to a restaurant.
11 June 1994 Falun, Dalarna 7310Mass murderer Mattias Flink shot dead seven people. [7]
28 February 1986 Sveavägen–Tunnelgatan, Stockholm 112 Assassination of Olof Palme: The Prime Minister of Sweden, Olof Palme, was assassinated, and his wife, Lisbeth Palme, was injured. [8]
4 March 1961 Kungälv, Bohuslän 178 Kungälv school shooting: A 17-year-old male shot seven students, killing one, and fled the scene. Later he surrendered to the police and was sentenced to compulsory treatment.
