University of the City of Manila, District Colleges

The District Colleges of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila was established in 2001 through the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Manila Mayor, the Department of Education Secretary, the PLM President, and the Superintendent of the Division of City Schools-Manila.

University of the City of Manila, Open University

The Open University of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila aka PLM or University of the City of Manila headquartered at the Gusaling Don Pepe Atienza at Intramuros, Manila, has operated a continuing education program for working adults and professionals in its partner institutions and agencies in and out of the country. PLM Graduate School of Law

The Graduate School of Law of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila is one of the eight graduate schools of the university. It was launched on July 7, 2004 at the Manila Hotel, with former Undersecretary of the Department of Justice, Atty. Ernesto L. Pineda, as its first dean. Currently, former Supreme Court's Second Division Chairman Justice Angelina G. Sandoval-Gutierrez sits as the dean of the Graduate School of Law.

Pamantasan is a Filipino word, which translates to university in the English language. Several local universities in the Philippines are called Pamantasan.

Universidad de Manila

The Universidad de Manila (UdM) is a city government funded, public local university in Manila, Philippines. Its Main Campus is located at the grounds of Mehan Gardens, near the Central Terminal Station of LRTA Line 1. It has an annex campus in Carriedo Street. It formerly maintained a campus at the 15-storey old PNB Building in Escolta Street but it was razed by a fire in 2015 and was finally demolished in 2016. The Division of City Schools-Manila has its headquarters at the main campus of UDM.

Local colleges and universities (LCUs) are higher educational institutions that are being run by local government units in the Philippines.

University of Cabuyao

The University of Cabuyao is a university in Cabuyao City, province of Laguna, Philippines. It was founded by then Mayor Etok Aguillo, through the enactment of Municipal Ordinance 2003-059 approved on April 16, 2003.

Alculympics organization

Alculympics, founded in 2009, is a sports league and triennial multi-sport event involving participants from the current 18 member schools of the Association of Local Colleges and Universities in the Philippines.

The Hiyas ng Maynilad Dance Troupe is the official and premiere cultural dance company of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. The company, consisting of student-performers under the umbrella PLM President's Committee on Arts and Culture, made its debut performance during the University's anniversary celebration in 1982. Since then, it has presented dances in costumes that reflect the traditional culture of the Philippines. Together with the PLM Rondalla, the company has also appeared as the Hiyas ng Maynilad and Cultural Group.

Established in 1982, the PLM Rondalla is the official and premiere musical ensemble of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. It is one of the groups sponsored and run by the PLM President’s Committee on Culture and the Arts. Together with the Hiyas ng Maynilad Dance Troupe, this musical ensemble provides accompaniment for the dance company and guests in numerous cultural shows, concerts and awards’ nights.

Benjamin G. Tayabas is a US-trained Filipino educator and administrator. He is the longest-serving university president of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. He succeeded Dr. Jose D. Villanueva in 1989, Dr. Virsely M. dela Cruz in 2000, and Atty. Jose M. Roy III in 2006. His initial term as PLM president was broken when he briefly served as Undersecretary of the Department of Education.

The President of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila is the principal executive officer of the University of the City of Manila. The office was created by the Republic Act 4196, which is today's University Charter.

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) or University of the City of Manila is a city government funded and tuition-free local university situated inside the historic walled area of Intramuros, Manila, Philippines. It was established on June 19, 1965 and opened on July 17, 1967 to 556 scholars, all coming from the top ten percent of graduates of Manila's public high schools.

The higher education in the Philippines is offered through various degree programs by a wide selection of colleges and universities—also known as higher education institutions (HEIs). These are administered and regulated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Pamantasang Mahal is one of the two official hymns of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

The College of Law of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) in Manila, Philippines is one of the two Professional schools of the University. Its current dean is Ernesto P. Maceda Jr., former Vice Mayor and City Councilor of Manila. It is located in Gusaling Katipunan.

The Universidad de San Ignacio was a university in the city of Manila which existed in the Spanish Philippines. It was founded in 1590 and is one of the earliest educational institutions built by the Spanish Conquistadors in Asia when it was established by the Jesuits headed by Fr. Antonio Sedeño, S.J.. The school ceased its existence following the expulsion of the Jesuits in the archipelago in 1768.

The Division of City Schools – Navotas or simply the DCS-Navotas is a division under the supervision of the Department of Education. It also refers to the three-tier public education system in Navotas, the Philippines.
