Liu Jiayu (born 17 September 1992) is a Chinese snowboarder whose specialization is the half-pipe. She has six World Cup Victories and a halfpipe victory at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships 2009. [1] She began snowboarding in 2003,switching over from martial arts at the relatively late age of 11. Liu competed for China at the 2010,2014,and 2018 Winter Olympics,where she achieved 4th,9th,and 2nd place,respectively. [2] [3]
Liu was born in Hegang but moved to Harbin for winter sports training. Her nickname is Birdie. [4]
Kelly Clark is an American snowboarder who won halfpipe gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Clark was born in Newport,Rhode Island. She started snowboarding when she was 7 years old,began competing in 1999,and became a member of the US Snowboard team in 2000. On January 25,2019,at the Winter X Games in Aspen,she announced her retirement from the sport.
Hannah Teter is an American snowboarder. She is an Olympic champion,having won the gold medal in the halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino,Italy and silver at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. She has also won bronze at the 2005 FIS World Championships at Whistler,British Columbia,and has a total of six World Cup victories in her career. In January 2010,Teter was named to the US Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She won the silver medal in women's halfpipe at the Vancouver Games. Teter came in fourth at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Dominique Maltais is a Canadian snowboarder,specialising in snowboard cross. She is a two-time Olympic medallist,winning a bronze medal at the 2006 Torino Games and a silver medal at the 2014 Sochi Games. She also competed at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics,where she failed to reach the final. At the FIS Snowboarding World Championships,she won a bronze medal in 2011 and a silver medal in 2013. She is the 2012 Winter X Games champion,and has won the Crystal Globe as the overall FIS World Cup champion in snowboard cross five times,in 2006,2011,2012,2013 and 2014.
Maëlle Danica Ricker is a Canadian retired snowboarder,who specialised in snowboard cross. She won an Olympic gold medal in the snowboard cross event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver,to become the first Canadian woman to win a gold medal on home soil at the Olympics. She is also the 2013 World Champion and two-time Winter X Games Champion.
Kristin Størmer Steira is a retired Norwegian cross-country skier. She competed from 2002 to 2015,and won six individual World Cup victories and five individual medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and Winter Olympic Games. She also won four gold medals with the Norway relay team. In Norwegian media,Steira was dubbed "the eternal fourth" due to her many finishes in fourth place.
Natalya Konstantinovna Matveyeva is a Russian cross-country skier who has been competing since 2004. Matveyeva skis for Dynamo Moscow. She has a total of four victories since 2004,including three in the 2006–2007 season. All four of her victories have been in the sprint events.
Yevgeniya Anatolyevna Shapovalova is a Russian cross-country skier who has been competing since 2006.

Ski ballet is a form of ballet performed on skis. It is very similar to figure skating,combining spins,jumps,and flips in a two-minute routine choreographed to music. It was part of the professional freestyle skiing tours of the 1970s and 1980s and then an official FIS and Olympic discipline until the year 2000. Ski ballet became known as Acroski in the 1990s in an effort to legitimize its place among the competitive ski community,especially to the FIS. It is no longer a part of competitive freestyle skiing.

The women's halfpipe competition in snowboarding at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 9 February (qualification) and 10 February (final),at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Chloe Kim of the United States won the event,defending her 2018 title. Queralt Castellet of Spain won the silver medal and Sena Tomita of Japan the bronze,the first Olympic medals for both of them.
Su Yiming is a Chinese snowboarder,an Olympic champion and former child actor. By winning the 2021–22 FIS Snowboard World Cup Big Air event at Steamboat Ski Resort on 4 December 2021,he became the first Chinese snowboarder to take a World Cup podium position.
