The Living EP is the debut recording by emo pop band, Josephine Collective, and was released on July 10, 2007 by Warner Bros. Records. [1] Produced by John Feldmann (Goldfinger) it is a "perfect blend of stuck-in-your-head choruses and smooth melodies". "Living" is the prelude to Josephine Collective's debut album, We Are the Air .
Melodic Net's Kaj Roth stated the EP "features 4 strong tracks in the emo vein, the songs are well crafted and the big budget production helps a lot because then they can compete with My Chemical Romance and The Used on the charts." [2]
In an article for The Sun News , lead singer, Dillon Devoe, said "It's a song that I really love. It's a song I've played a million times and the story behind that one is don't do drugs. So many people think that's what rock 'n' roll's about. You have to escape from your everyday because you don't get to live it the way you want to, and the only real escape is to be happy with who you are and where you are all of the time." [3]
Emo is a rock music genre characterized by emotional, often confessional lyrics. It emerged as a style of hardcore punk and post-hardcore from the mid–1980s Washington, D.C. hardcore scene, where it was known as emotional hardcore or emocore. The bands Rites of Spring and Embrace, among others, pioneered the genre. In the early-to-mid 1990s, emo was adopted and reinvented by alternative rock, indie rock, punk rock, and pop-punk bands, including Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbreaker, Cap'n Jazz, and Jimmy Eat World. By the mid-1990s, Braid, the Promise Ring, and the Get Up Kids emerged from Midwest emo, and several independent record labels began to specialize in the genre. Meanwhile, screamo, a more aggressive style of emo using screamed vocals, also emerged, pioneered by the San Diego bands Heroin and Antioch Arrow. Screamo achieved mainstream success in the 2000s with bands like Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Story of the Year, Thursday, the Used, and Underoath.
AFI is an American rock band from Ukiah, California, formed in 1991. Since 1998, it consists of lead vocalist Davey Havok, drummer and backing vocalist Adam Carson, bassist, backing vocalist and keyboardist Hunter Burgan, and guitarist, backing vocalist and keyboardist Jade Puget. Havok and Carson are the sole remaining original members. Originally a hardcore punk band, they have since delved into many genres, starting with horror punk and following through post-hardcore and emo into alternative rock and gothic rock.

Bullet for My Valentine, often abbreviated as BFMV, are a Welsh heavy metal band from Bridgend, formed in 1998. The band is currently composed of Matthew Tuck, Michael Paget, Jason Bowld (drums) and Jamie Mathias. Former members include Michael Thomas, Jason James and Nick Crandle; the latter were on bass. They were formed under the name Jeff Killed John and started their music career by covering songs by Metallica and Nirvana. Jeff Killed John recorded six songs which were not released; two of these tracks were reworked later in their career as Bullet for My Valentine. A change of style from that of Jeff Killed John led the band to change their name. In 2002, the band secured a five-album deal with Sony BMG. The band has stated that their music is influenced by classic metal acts such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and Slayer. The band is part of the Cardiff music scene.
Escape the Fate is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2004. Originally from Pahrump, Nevada, the group currently consists of lead vocalist Craig Mabbitt, guitarists Matti Hoffman and TJ Bell, bassist Erik Jensen and drummer Robert Ortiz. Ortiz is the only founding member remaining in the band.

Josephine Collective was an emo pop band from Johnson County, Kansas. In 2006, the band, formerly known as Josephine and, previously, Josephine Love Letter, was officially named Josephine Collective. The band signed to Warner Bros. Records after John Feldmann had been introduced to their music via Myspace and invited them to open for his band, Goldfinger. John Feldmann produced their first EP entitled Living EP which was released in 2007. Josephine Collective also recorded their first full-length album with Feldmann in Los Angeles, CA. The album, We Are the Air, was released for digital download on June 24, 2008. The band toured with fellow Warner Bros. Records act, The Used, in 2007 and with Story of the Year and Madina Lake in 2008. They also performed at both the 2008 Bamboozle Left Festival in California, and the 2008 Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey.

He was a member of Panic! at the Disco from 2009 to 2017, performing in the band as a bassist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, and songwriter. He was also the frontman of the power pop band and later solo musical project The Brobecks. Weekes currently performs as the frontman of I Dont Know How But They Found Me.

The album was recorded in February 2014 with Seth Henderson at Always Be Genius Recording Studio. It was released through Fearless on July 22. The album charted at number 24 in the U.S. It also charted in the top 20 on several Billboard charts.
Aaron Jennings Puckett, better known by his stage name Lil Aaron, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from Goshen, Indiana. Merging elements of pop punk and emo with hip hop and pop, he has released five solo EPs, as well as two EPs as a member of the alternative hip hop collective Boyfriendz. He has also written songs for artists such as Blackbear, Liam Payne, Hailee Steinfeld, Dev and Kiiara. He took part in the writing of Lizzo's 2019 album Cuz I Love You, which won a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
