LocalLink 26 is a bus route operated by the Maryland Transit Administration in Baltimore between Mondawmin and Brooklyn. [1] On southbound trips, the route departs from Mondawmin Metro Bus Bay 2, near the intersection of Reisterstown Road and Liberty Heights Avenue north of Mondawmin Mall in West Baltimore, and terminates at the South Baltimore Park & Ride near the intersection of South Hanover Street and Baltic Avenue. Northbound trips run in the opposite direction between these terminal stops. [2]

LocalLink 26 is part of the MTA Frequent Bus Network, along with the 12 CityLink bus routes and LocalLink routes 22, 26, 29, 30, 54, and 80. [3] [4]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">West Baltimore station</span> Railway station in Baltimore, Maryland

West Baltimore station is a regional rail station located in the western part of the City of Baltimore, Maryland along the Northeast Corridor. It is served by MARC Penn Line trains. The station is positioned on an elevated grade above and between the nearby parallel West Mulberry and West Franklin Streets at 400 North Smallwood Street. Three large surface lots are available for commuters. The station is not accessible, with two low-level side platforms next to the outer tracks, but MTA Maryland plans to later renovate the station with accessible platforms and entrances.

In April 2022, the MTA announced a proposal to revive the route before the end of the same year as the QuickLink 40.

The line currently runs from Walbrook Junction in West Baltimore to Canton, mostly along North Avenue. The line has two main branches, both operating to Canton: one that operates via Fells Point and the other via Linwood and East Streets. Both these branches serve Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, selected trips on weekdays and Saturdays operate to the block of Milton Avenue, Federal Street, and Patterson Park Avenue.

Route 5 is a bus route operated by the Maryland Transit Administration in Baltimore. The line currently runs from Cedonia in northeast Baltimore to the Mondawmin Metro Subway Station. The line has two alternating routes in East Baltimore: one via the area of Johns Hopkins Hospital, and one via a one-way pair of streets a few blocks north. A small number of trips also operate to/from Federal Street or Lanvale & Patterson Park.

In June 2017, LocalLink 56 replaced the former local bus Route 35, which connected the city's downtown area with White Marsh, to the east of the city, and UMBC to the west. LocalLink 85 is a bus route that operates in Baltimore and its suburbs. All trips operate from the Penn-North Metro Subway Station in Baltimore City to the Milford Mill Metro Subway Station in Pikesville. The route, which started operating on August 24, 2008, is a combination of the most recent versions of the former routes M-3 and M-8, which had been operating since 1984 and 1987 respectively. Prior to these dates, the routes had been served by other buses and streetcars.

The loop is composed of a square block, consisting of Liberty Road, Rolling Road, Church Lane, and Milford Mill Road. The spot of the layover depends on the time of day.

LocalLink 83 is a bus route in Baltimore and its suburbs. The line currently runs from the Old Court Metro Subway Station in Pikesville, Maryland to the Mondawmin Metro Subway Station in Northwest Baltimore along Old Court Road and Reisterstown Road, serving the communities of Park Heights and the Reisterstown Road Plaza. The line is the successor to Bus Route 7, which still operates south of Mondawmin. Route 7 operated along Reisterstown Road outside the Metro's hours of operation until 2001.

LocalLink 38 is a bus route operated by the Maryland Transit Administration in Baltimore between Westgate and Medfield. Primarily serving high school students traveling to the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and Western High School campuses, the route was suspended on April 6, 2020, as schools closed during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic. The Maryland Transit Administration announced that the route would remain suspended on September 30, 2020, along with the LocalLink 92, while all other LocalLink routes would continue service. In Fall 2021, as Baltimore City Schools re-opened for in-person instruction, the MTA restored the LocalLink 38 route as a limited service for school trips on weekdays only. The bus departs from North Bend Loop, near the corner of North Bend Road and Edmondson Avenue just outside the western edge of the city border, and terminates at Poly Western High, near the intersection of Cold Spring Lane and Falls Road in north Baltimore, for two morning trips scheduled 5 minutes apart. Two reverse trips also scheduled 5 minutes apart run after school.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">CityLink Blue (BaltimoreLink)</span> Bus route in Baltimore

CityLink Blue (BL) is a bus route operated by the Maryland Transit Administration between Bayview, Baltimore City, and Westgate, Baltimore City, or Woodlawn, Baltimore County. Most westbound trips on the route depart from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, at the intersection of East Lombard Street and Bioscience Drive in East Baltimore, and terminate at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on Security Boulevard in Woodlawn. Some trips on late nights on weekdays or throughout the day on weekends terminate instead at the North Bend Loop by the intersection of Edmondson Avenue and North Bend Road, near the western boundary of Baltimore City. Eastbound trips travel the reverse route between these terminal stops; likewise, most of these trips depart from the CMS stop, but some depart from the North Bend Loop stop.

CityLink Brown (BR) is a bus route operated by the Maryland Transit Administration between Downtown Baltimore City, and Overlea, Baltimore County, or White Marsh, Baltimore County. Northbound trips on the route depart from University of Maryland Medical Center, at the intersection of South Greene Street and West Pratt Street in Downtown Baltimore, and terminate at either the intersection of Belair Road and East Overlea Avenue just outside the eastern Baltimore City boundary, or at the White Marsh Mall Park & Ride. The northern terminal stop alternates throughout the day, and late night service only runs to Overlea. Southbound trips run between the same terminal stops in reverse; likewise, they depart either from White Marsh or Overlea.
