Advance Mills, also known as Fray's Mill, is an unincorporated community in Albemarle County, Virginia.
The Hinton Historic District is a national historic district located at Hinton, Summers County, West Virginia. The original Hinton Historic District is bordered roughly by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad line, James Street, 5th Avenue, and Roundhouse. The boundary increase extended the district to include Mill Street. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and revised in 2005.
Mill Creek Historic District is a national historic district located at Bunker Hill, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It encompasses nine contributing buildings, eight contributing sites, and three contributing objects that relate to an early industrial-commercial center in the county. They include: the Mill Creek Bridge, Henry Sherrard Mill, Robert Daniels House, John Gray House, Henshaw Log House, "Springhill", Henshaw Miller's House, "Springfield", Holliday Mill Sites, Bunker Hill Cumberland Valley Railroad Bridge, Stephenson's Tavern, Morgan Park including two State markers and monument (1924) to Morgan Morgan, Elisha Boyd Mill Sites, Joel Ward Mill ruins, Bunker Hill Mill Complex, and Joel Ward House.
Gerrardstown Historic District is a national historic district located at Gerrardstown, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It encompasses 92 contributing buildings, 4 contributing sites, and 2 contributing structures. Notable commercial buildings include the Gerrardstown Corner Store, Wiest Antiques Store, Richard McCormick Store, Charles Crim Store, and David S. Griffith General Store. Most houses are 2 1/2 stories and are representative of a number of popular architectural styles including Queen Anne, Federal, and Greek Revival. Religious properties include the Presbyterian Church (1893) and Cemetery and Southern Methodist Episcopal Church (1883). Also included is the Lutheran Cemetery with burials dating to 1818. Located within the district is the separately listed Hays-Gerrard House.

Notable buildings in the district include: Patterson's Mill (1765) and the miller's house, "Elm Dale," the Silber-Walters House, Huxley Hall, site of Patterson's New Mill and miller's house, Hibbard Mill, Tuscarora School, Providence Cemetery, the Mong House, Tuscarora Church (1802), James Noll Shop, Rumsey Mill site, and the poor house or "Mansion House" (1788).
Spring Mills Historic District is a national historic district located near Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It encompasses five contributing buildings, constructed between about 1790 and 1922, and two contributing sites. They include the Falling Waters Presbyterian Church (1834) and Manse (1922) and Stephen Hammond Mill, Miller's House, and Spring House. The buildings are of masonry construction. The sites are the Falling Waters Presbyterian Church Cemetery and the site of Dr. Allen Hammonds House.

The original district encompassed 59 contributing buildings; the boundary increase added 53 more contributing buildings. It includes the central business district of Huntington, and includes several of its municipal and governmental buildings. It contains the majority of the historic concentration of downtown commercial buildings. Notable buildings include the Huntington City Hall, Johnson Memorial Church (c.1886/1912/1935), Trinity Episcopal Church (1882), Davis Opera House, Love Hardware Building, Reuschleins Jewelry building (1923), the Newcomb Building, the Morrison Building (1919), Keith-Albee Theater (1928), West Virginia Building, and Gideon Building. Located in the district are the separately listed Carnegie Public Library, Cabell County Courthouse, U.S. Post Office and Court House, and Campbell-Hicks House.
North River Mills Historic District is a national historic district located at North River Mills, Hampshire County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 25 contributing buildings and five contributing sites. The district lies along Hiett Run, which empties into the North River, a tributary of the Cacapon River. It has become an industrial ghost town, now visited only by summer residents and tourists. The contributing buildings include the Hiett House with shed and privy; Croston House and barn ; North River Mills Grocery ; Shanholtz House, also known as North River Mills Society for Antiquarian Arts and the Diffusion of Knowledge; North River Mills School ; Miller House and associated outbuildings; United Methodist Church ; Kump House ; and the Moreland House. Contributing sites are the cemetery associated with the Kump House, Miller Mill Site, Shanholtz Mill Site, mill pond, and millrace.
Stump Family Farm is a national historic district located near Moorefield, Hardy County, West Virginia. The district encompasses three contributing buildings and one contributing site. It includes a cabin constructed of rough hewn white oak with a top log of pine, built about 1775. Also on the property is a barn, well house, and the Stump family cemetery. The property commemorates pre-revolutionary pioneer life in America. Michael Stump purchased the property about 1781 and it remained in the family until 1972.

The primarily residential district includes some notable commercial, ecclesiastical, civic, and industrial buildings dated as early as the 1820s. Notable buildings include the Charles Pratt Mining Company office, I.O.O.F. Building, Samuel Hanna House, Jim Shields Corner, James Trimble House, Weaver-Grose House, Burke-Mooney House, Boyer House, The Blue House, Perry-Holt House, Old Town Hall, The Cooperage, and Pratt Cemetery. The delisted Mother Jones Prison was once located in the district.

The district includes 45 contributing buildings and 2 contributing sites in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Burlington. The district includes notable examples of vernacular interpretations of the Greek Revival and Queen Anne styles.
Fort Hill, also known as Fort Hill Farm, is a historic plantation house and national historic district located near Burlington, Mineral County, West Virginia. The district includes 15 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 2 contributing structures. The main house was completed in 1853, and is a two-story, "L"-shaped brick dwelling composed of a side gable roofed, five bay building with a rear extension in the Federal style. It features a three-bay, one-story front porch supported by four one foot square Tuscan order columns. Also on the property are a number of contributing buildings including a washhouse and cellar, outhouse, a dairy and ice house, a meat house, a garage, a hog house, poultry houses, a bank barn with silo, and a well. The family cemetery is across the road west of the main house. Located nearby and in the district is "Woodside," a schoolhouse built about 1890, and a tenant house and summer kitchen.

The district is primarily residential, developed in the late-19th and early-20th century. A number of popular architectural styles are represented including Greek Revival and Gothic Revival. Notable non-residential buildings include St. Joseph Cathedral (1926), former Hazel Atlas Company building, Scottish Rite Temple designed by noted Wheeling architect Frederick F. Faris (1870-1927), Elks Building, and YMCA (1906), also designed by Faris. The contributing site is Elk Playground. Also located in the district are the separately listed L. S. Good House, Charles W. Russell House, and Cathedral Parish School.

The district includes 205 contributing buildings in the central business district of Wheeling. It includes the site of the original location of Fort Henry. The buildings are representative of a number of popular architectural styles from the early-19th century through the present including Greek Revival and Late Victorian. The District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Sidney African Methodist Episcopal Church and cemetery.
