"Love Is Love (In Any Language" is a song by American singer-songwriter Christopher Cross. It was released as the third and final single from his third studio album, Every Turn of the World . It was his last single to be released on Warner Bros. Records.[ citation needed ]
Written by Cross, co-producer Michael Omartian, and John Bettis, as the title suggests, it tells the story of a narrator wandering through an island town, noticing cultural differences, unfamiliar words, and the feeling of being an outsider. But despite the unfamiliar language, when he encounters someone he feels connected to, he realizes that love doesn't need translation.
Billboard characterized "Love Is Love (In Any Language)" as "frothy" and "danceable". [2]
