Lui Kam Chi (born 24 February 1973) is a Hong Kong rower. He competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics and the 2000 Summer Olympics. [1] He was the winner of a bronze medal at the 1999 Asian Rowing Championships and silver medals in multiple events at the 2001 East Asian Games. [2] [3] [4] He later competed in dragon boat at the 2010 Asian Games and at the 2012 Asian Beach Games. [5] [6] He was elected a board member of the Hong Kong, China Rowing Association  [ zh ] in 2016. [7]

Law retired as a professional footballer in 1976, aged 47. That season he was a player-manager. He coached until the 1990s, at aged 60s. At international level he played for Republic of China (Taiwan) in the Olympics as well as Asian Games and AFC Asian Cup. He also played for Hong Kong League XI in non-official match in Merdeka Tournament, as well as "Hong Kong Chinese" team in another friendly tournament, Ho Ho Cup.

Hong Kong competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. Hong Kong made its debut at the Asian Games in 1954 Manila, and the best achievement for the territory was in 2010 Asian Games held in neighboring Guangzhou, finishing with 8 gold, 15 silver and 17 bronze medals totaling 40 medals. At the previous edition in held 4 years later in Incheon, the total number of medals increased to 42, but the number of gold medals fell to 6, In Indonesia the performance of local athletes was satisfactory, improving the results obtained in 2010 and 2014 with 46 medals achieving the best results at the games.

The British Consulate General Hong Kong is the sole governmental agency currently tasked with offering professional formal English-to-Cantonese name translation services to British officials. No similar services are offered by UK diplomatic missions within the Greater China area. It is a long tradition for the UK government to provide such uniform translation for certain cabinet members and other officials. This practice has its origin in the distasteful translation of the name of the 16th Colonial Governor of Hong Kong, and the UK government keeps this tradition alive even after the transfer of Hong Kong's sovereignty to China in 1997. The translation process is very refined, and there is a set of principles that they observe to avoid taboo, undesirable, or embarrassing translations as well as making the translated names more relatable, approachable, and agreeable to local Hong Kongers.

The 2007 Hong Kong Games, officially known as The 1st Hong Kong Games was a major multi-sport event in Hong Kong and the debut of the bi-annual Hong Kong Games. The games were staged between 4 April and 6 May 2007, with participation from 1287 athletes. The events were held in Hong Kong's Kwai Tsing District.
