Lumidee Cedeño, known mononymously as Lumidee, is an American singer-songwriter and rapper. She is best known for her 2003 single "Never Leave You ", which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and led her to sign with Universal Records. The song preceded the release of her debut studio album Almost Famous (2003), which saw mixed to negative critical reception and moderate commercial performance. Her second album, Unexpected (2007) saw a critical improvement despite a commercial decline, and was supported by the cover single "She's Like the Wind".
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen is the soundtrack album to the 2004 film of the same name. The soundtrack featured songs by various artists. The film's lead actress Lindsay Lohan recorded four songs written for the film, including "Drama Queen ", that was promotionally released with an accompanying video on Disney in January of that year.

An electropop and calypso-pop song which samples Lumidee's song "Never Leave You ", the song lyrically discusses the liberation someone feels after walking away from a toxic relationship.
"Red Ruby da Sleeze" is a song by rapper Nicki Minaj from her fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2 (2023). Initially released on March 3, 2023 as a promotional single, it was officially released on March 14, 2023 to US rhythmic contemporary radio through Young Money and Republic Records, serving as the album's second single. It contains a sample of "Never Leave You " (2003) by Lumidee and was produced by Go Grizzly, Cheeze Beatz, and Tate Kobang. The song debuted in the top 20 in the United States.
