The Lynchburg Titans are a franchise of the Premier Basketball League which began play in the 2011-12 season. Based in Lynchburg, Virginia, they play their home games in Downtown Lynchburg at the Lynchburg City Armory.[ citation needed ]

The Titans competed in the American Basketball Association for two seasons, during which they were known as the Lynchburg Legends. As of October 18, 2013, the Legends debuted in the league's pre-season rankings at #21, the first time the Legends have appeared in the rankings. [1]

The Titans will begin play in the PBL for the 2014 season. [2]

Dave DeBusschere American sports player (1940–2003)

The league is contested by 10 teams from England and Scotland. There are no clubs however from Wales or Northern Ireland. The BBL runs three additional knockout competitions alongside the BBL Championship which are the BBL Cup, the BBL Trophy and the end-of-season BBL Play-offs.

The Detroit Mercy Titans are the athletic teams of University of Detroit Mercy. The University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The school primarily competes in the Horizon League, but competes in other conferences for fencing and lacrosse, sports not sponsored for either men or women by the Horizon League. Fencing, a co-ed sport, competes in the Midwest Fencing Conference. Men's lacrosse moved from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to the ASUN Conference in July 2021. Women's lacrosse joined the Mid-American Conference for that league's first women's lacrosse season in 2021.

Jermaine Maurice Jackson Sr. is an American former professional basketball player who most recently served as head coach for SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Christopher John Anstey is an Australian former professional basketball player. His career included stints in the National Basketball Association (NBA), Russia and Spain. Anstey was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 1997 NBA draft. He also played for the Melbourne Tigers, South East Melbourne Magic and Victoria Titans in the NBL. He retired at the end of the 2009–10 season while with the Tigers and later became the team's head coach in 2012.

Brian Warwick Goorjian is an American-Australian professional basketball coach and former player served as the head coach of the Bay Area Dragons of the East Asia Super League (EASL). He is also currently the head coach of the Australia men's national basketball team. He is the most successful coach in Australian basketball and his career has been called the most successful in NBL history by Basketball Australia. In an NBL coaching career spanning over 20 years, Goorjian has won six championships: two with the South East Melbourne Magic, three with the Sydney Kings and one with the South Dragons. He previously served as the head coach of the Australia men's team from 2001 to 2008 before returning as coach in 2020.

Justin Kutcher is a sportscaster with Fox Sports. He was formerly the play-by-play announcer for the Washington Wizards on NBC Sports Washington. Kutcher joined Fox Sports in 2012 as a play-by-play broadcaster for Fox College Football and Fox College Hoops. He made his Major League Baseball broadcasting debut in April 2013.
