M. V. Raghu is an Indian film cinematographer turned director, screenwriter, and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. [1] In 1988, he has directed the neo-realistic film Kallu , [2] [3] which has received many awards including state awards and has garnered special mention from the CBFC Jury. [3] Jury Member for Nandi Film Awards 2001 and 2017. Also Known As "Kallu Raghu" in Telugu Film Industry

After completing B.Sc. degree from SRR & CVR Govt. Degree College, Vijayawada. He Joined Govt. College Of Fine Arts and Graduated in Diploma in Photography

Career

He assisted for many films in Vijaya- Vauhini Studios, Chennai in 1975. During that period as Camera Assistant And Focus Assistant, He worked for several cinematographers. He assisted to Marcus Bartley( DOP Maya Bazar), P.L.Rai ( Lavakusa fame), M.A.Rehman, G.K Ramu, Maruthi Rao, P.S.Sevaraj Babu Bhai Mistry, Ravikanth Nagaich, Malli Irani, K.S.Prasad, A.Vincent, P.N.Sundatam, Ramachandra Babu, Ashok Kumar, Balu Mahendra...etc.

Karimanal Venkatesan Anand was an Indian cinematographer, film director and photojournalist, worked mainly in the Tamil film industry. Anand won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography for his debut film as a cinematographer, Thenmavin Kombath. In 2005, Anand turned film director with the critically acclaimed Kana Kandaen. Kalisundham Raa is a 2000 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by Udayasankar and produced by D. Suresh Babu. It stars Venkatesh and Simran, with music composed by S. A. Rajkumar. Kolluru Chidambara Rao, known professionally as Kallu Chidambaram, was an Indian actor known for his works in Telugu cinema. Chidambaram is one of the finest comedians of Telugu cinema. Chidambaram started his career as a theatre artist while working as an Assistant Engineer in Visakhapatnam Port Trust. He made his film debut in 1988 with Kallu from which acquired his stage name. He had garnered the state Nandi Special Jury Award for the film.

Kallu (transl. Eyes) is a 1988 Indian Telugu-Language ethnographic drama film based on the lives of five blind people directed by M. V. Raghu, based on Gollapudi Maruti Rao's play with the same name. In 2018, the film celebrated its 30th anniversary by "Mukhi Media" in Hyderabad.
