The Macau national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team that represents Macau,China in international competitions and as an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Macau is not ranked in the IIHF World Rankings and have not entered in any World Championships nor at any Olympic Games,but have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia,a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.

IJshockey Nederland (IJNL) is the official governing body of ice hockey in the Netherlands. It was founded as the Nederlandse IJshockey Bond in 1933 as a three team league with The Hague, Amsterdam and Tilburg. It joined the International Ice Hockey Federation on 20 January, 1935. In 1946, it created the Eredivisie. The organisation’s name was changed from NIJB to IJNL in 2017.
The Chinese Taipei national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The team is controlled by the Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey Federation and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Chinese Taipei is currently ranked 46th in the IIHF World Ranking and competes in the IIHF World Championship Division III.
The Mongolia national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team of Mongolia. They are controlled by the Mongolian Hockey Federation and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 15 May 1999. Mongolia participated in several World Championship tournaments from late 2000s to early 2010s, but since 2013, have only played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.

The team is controlled by the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Thailand is currently ranked at fifty-first in the IIHF World Rankings and have been entered in the World Championship tournaments since 2019 but have not yet participated at any Olympic Games. They have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.
The Kuwait national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Kuwait. The team is controlled by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 8 May 2009. Kuwait has participated in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia, from 2010 to 2018. Kuwait made its World Championship debut at the 2018 Division III Qualification tournament.

The Singapore national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team of Singapore and an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. They made their World Championship debut in 2022, and have also played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey national teams in Asia.
The IIHF Asia and Oceania Championship are a series of international ice hockey tournaments in the continent of Asia. The purpose of the tournament is to provide competitive opportunities for Asian and Oceania teams that are either in the lower divisions of the IIHF World Championships or did not compete in any IIHF World Championships. The first edition was held in Hong Kong from 24 to 26 April 2008, with the second edition held a year later in the United Arab Emirates. The third edition took place from 29 March to 4 April 2010 in the Republic of China.

The team was formed in 2014 and competed in the IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia Division I tournament, which it has won on two occasions, currently competes in IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championships Division 2B.

The team was founded in June 2016, is controlled by the Islamic Republic of Iran Skating Federation, and on 26 September 2019, became an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Iran made its debut in the IIHF World Championship in 2022. As of 2022, Iran is ranked 56th in the IIHF World Ranking.
The Philippines national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of the Philippines. They are controlled by the Federation of Ice Hockey League (FIHL) and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 20 May 2016. Prior to that period, a national team has played in regional tournaments in Hong Kong since the 2000s.

The 2018 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia Division I was the 5th IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia Division I competition, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The Division I competition took place from 24 to 29 March 2018 at the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Four teams competed in the tournament. Originally, six teams were scheduled to compete. However, Oman and Qatar were scheduled to compete, but cancelled. Indonesia made its debut in the Challenge Cup of Asia. The host nation Malaysia won its first Division I tournament, winning all five of its games, defeating Macau in the final and promoted to Top Division for the 2019 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia.
This article lists the performances of each of the 60 national teams which have made at least one appearance in the Ice Hockey World Championships, an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), including the Olympic ice hockey tournament was also considered the World Championship for that year, and was held before the first Ice Hockey World Championship as an individual event in 1930. With the exception between 1940 and 1946, when no championships were held during World War II, nor were held during the Olympic years 1980, 1984, and 1988. In 2020, the IIHF announced that all World Championship tournaments have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions-related issues.
