Mackenzie Sound is a sound in the area of the Broughton Archipelago of the Queen Charlotte Strait region of the South Coast of British Columbia, Canada. It is located to the northeast of North Broughton Island. Watson Island is located in its entrance; to the west of Watson Island is Grappler Sound.

The Broughton Archipelago is a group of islands on the northeastern flank of the Queen Charlotte Strait on the coast of British Columbia, Canada. The largest islands in the group, which includes numerous smaller islets, are Broughton Island, North Broughton Island, Eden Island, Bonwick Island and Baker Island. The islands are all located within the Regional District of Mount Waddington; however, nearly all lands in the area are owned by the Provincial Crown and most settlements in the area, with the exclusion of floating settlements, are either Indian Reserves of bands of the Musgamagw Tsawataineuk Tribal Council or fish farms under the jurisdiction of the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Queen Charlotte Strait is a strait between Vancouver Island and the Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. It connects Queen Charlotte Sound with Johnstone Strait and Discovery Passage and via them to the Strait of Georgia and Puget Sound. It forms part of the Inside Passage from Washington to Alaska. The term Queen Charlotte Strait is also used to refer to the general region and its many communities, notably of the Kwakwaka'wakw peoples. Despite its name, Queen Charlotte Strait does not lie between Haida Gwaii and the mainland; that body of water is named Hecate Strait.
Kingcome Inlet is one of the lesser principal fjords of the British Columbia Coast, north and east of Broughton Island. It is sixth in sequence of the major saltwater fjords north from the 49th parallel north near Vancouver and similar in width to longer inlets such as Knight Inlet and Bute Inlet, but it is only 35 km in length from the mouth of the Kingcome River to Sutlej Channel, which ultimately connects around Broughton Island to the main regional waterway of the Queen Charlotte Strait. Kingcome Inlet has a short side inlet, Wakeman Sound, fed by the Wakeman River.
Babine Lake Marine Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. The park was established by Order-in-Council in 1993, comprising two sites at Pendleton Bay totalling 36.9 hectares. Another was established in the same year at Smithers Landing, comprising approximately 157.8 hectares. Three more sites were added in 2001, Hook (Deep) Bay, Pierre Creek, Pinkut Creek and Sandpoint. All sites combined comprise approximately 492 hectares.

The Gwa'Sala-Nakwaxda'xw Nations are a union of two Kwakwaka'wakw peoples in a band government based on northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, whose main reserve community is near the town of Port Hardy in the Queen Charlotte Strait region of the Central Coast region of British Columbia, Canada. The band government is a member of the Kwakiutl District Council and, for treaty negotiation purposes, the Winalagalis Treaty Group which includes three other members of the Kwakiutl District Council.
Kwikwasut'inuxw Haxwa'mis, formerly the Kwicksutaineuk-ah-kwa-mish First Nation is a First Nations band government based on northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, in the Queen Charlotte Strait region. It is a member of the Musgamagw Tsawataineuk Tribal Council, along with the ‘Namgis First Nation and the Tsawataineuk First Nation. The Kwikwasut'inuxw and Haxwa'mis are two of the many subgroups of the peoples known as Kwakwaka'wakw, which means "speakers of Kwak'wala", their language, and were combined into one band by the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs.
Fife Sound is a sound in the Broughton Archipelago of the Central Coast of British Columbia, Canada. The Broughton Archipelago is on the north side of the Queen Charlotte Strait region, adjacent to the mainland. Fife Sound is located on the south side of Broughton Island, which is the largest of the group.
Grappler Sound is a sound on the Coast of British Columbia, Canada. It is located on the west side of Watson Island, in the area of the Broughton Archipelago and which is located at the entrance to Mackenzie Sound. It was named for HMS Grappler.

The headland on the north side of the sound's entrance is London Point at 50°46′09″N126°07′07″W. The south side of the entrance is demarcated by Cleave Point at 50°44′35″N126°07′28″W.

Greenway Sound is a sound in the area of the Broughton Archipelago, which lies on the north side of Queen Charlotte Strait in the Central Coast region of British Columbia, Canada. It is adjacent to Sutlej Channel, which lies on the north side of Broughton Island, the largest of the group, between it and the mainland. Greenway Point is on the south side of the sound.

The Firesteel River is the uppermost left tributary of the Finlay River in the Northern Interior of British Columbia, Canada. The river originates at Tatlatui Lake, while the Finlay originates at the outlet of Thutade Lake, to the southeast, which is considered the ultimate source of the Mackenzie River.
The Tlowitsis Nation, formerly the Tlowitsis Tribe and the Tlowitsis-Mumtagila First Nation, is the Indian Act band government of the Ławit'sis (Tlowitsis) tribe of the Kwakwaka'wakw peoples, located in the Queen Charlotte Strait-Johnstone Strait area in the Discovery Islands between Vancouver Island and the British Columbia mainland in Canada. Ławit'sis territory covers parts of northern Vancouver Island, Johnstone Strait, and adjoining inlets of the mainland. Kalugwis, on Turnour Island, was their principal community in times past, but the band's offices are in the city of Campbell River to the southeast. Hanatsa IR No. 6 on Port Neville is the most populated of the band's Indian reserves.
