Madar Sara (Persian : مادرسرا‎, also Romanized as Mādar Sarā; also known as Mādar Sarā-ye Bālā)^[1] is a village in Khara Rud Rural District, in the Central District of Siahkal County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 24, in 5 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Khara Rud Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Siahkal County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 7,899, in 2,054 families. The rural district has 34 villages.
