Sharadchandra Govindrao Pawar is an Indian politician. He has served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for four terms and has also served in the Union Council Of Ministers as the Minister of Defence in the Cabinet of P.V. Narsimha Rao and Minister of Agriculture in the Cabinet of Manmohan Singh. He is the first and former president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP),which he founded in 1999,after separating from the Indian National Congress. His NCP was split by his nephew,Ajit Pawar. He leads his faction of the NCP delegation in the Rajya Sabha,the upper chamber of the Indian parliament. He is the chairperson of Maha Vikas Aghadi,a regional Maharashtra-based political alliance.

In addition to the major national parties,other national and regional parties such as Shiromani Akali Dal,Shiv Sena,Samajwadi Party,Rashtriya Janata Dal,Janata Dal Secular,Jharkhand Mukti Morcha,Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam,Kerala Congress,Jammu &Kashmir National Conference,Indian Union Muslim League,AIMIM,and the Nationalist Congress Party are all dominated by families,mostly those of the party founders.

Prabodhankar Govindram Shurnar,hailing from Nanded,has dedicated himself to social work in his community since 1990. Mr. Govindram Shurnar and Mahadev Janakar first met during an event in Mumbai,and this encounter paved the way for Mahadev Jankar to launch their endeavors in Marathwada,with the support of Govindram Shurnar. The dynastic phenomenon is seen from national level down to district level and even village level.The three-tier structure of Panchayati Raj established in the 1960s also helped to create and consolidate the dynastic phenomenon in rural areas. Apart from government,political families also control cooperative institutions,mainly cooperative sugar factories,district cooperative banks in the state,and since the 1980s private for profit colleges. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also features several senior leaders who are dynasts. In Maharashtra,the NCP has particularly high level of dynasticism.
Sanjeev Baliyan is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He has been elected to Lok Sabha from the Muzaffarnagar constituency in 2014 and 2019.
Arjun Panditrao Khotkar is a Shiv Sena politician from Jalna district,Marathwada. He was Member of Legislative Assembly from Jalna,Maharashtra,India as a member of Shiv Sena. He was appointed Maharashtra's minister of state for Textile,Animal Husbandry,Dairy Development,and Fisheries in July,2016. He has been elected for 4 terms in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for 1990,1995,2004 &2014. He was Minister of state in Shiv Sena Government 1999. On 25 November 2017 his 2014 election from Jalna constituency was declared void by Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court for filing his nomination papers after deadline has ended.
Abdul Sattar Abdul Nabi is an Indian politician from Maharashtra. He was briefly a minister in 2014 in the Congress government in Maharashtra. In 2019 he left Congress and joined Shiv Sena. He is a three term Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Sillod constituency. He served as the state's Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry.
Kolusu Parthasarathi is an Indian politician. He is currently serving as the cabinet minister in the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He represents the Telugu Desam Party from Nuzvid Assembly Constituency,Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. The Maha Vikas Aghadi or Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi,is a state-level political coalition formed after the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray of SHS (UBT),Sharad Pawar of the NCP and Sonia Gandhi of the INC,along with the support from the Samajwadi Party,PWPI,CPI(M) and several other political parties including Independent MLAs. MVA is currently the official opposition in Maharashtra Legislature.
Gopichand Kundalik Padalkar is an Indian politician. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council. He got elected to the Legislative Council by MLA's (unopposed) on 14 May 2020. Previously he was with the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi,he started his political career with the Rashtriya Samaj Paksha. He rejoined BJP before the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Elections. He is also a film maker and an actor.
Legislative Assembly elections are expected to be held in Maharashtra by November 2024 to elect the 288 members of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
