Mahayoddha Rama is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language animated film directed by Rohit Vaid. [1] [2] [3] [4] The film won the National Film Award for Best Animated Film. [5] [6] Mahayoddha Rama narrates the story of Ramayana from Ravan's perspective. [7] The film had a delayed release in 2016.
Gulshan Grover, Gaurav Gera, Kiku Sharda, Roshan Abbas, Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Ameen Sayani all voice a head of the ten-headed Ravan.
The film was made in 2008. [7] Sameera Reddy was initially considered to play Sita. [8]

Arnab Banerjee of Deccan Chronicle gave the film a negative review and wrote that "What is also unbearable, at times, is the earsplitting background score: so loud it sounds that as a reflex action, you wish you could close your eyes to diminish the assault". [11] Kunal Guha of Mumbai Mirror said that "For those who’ve watched the televised version in the '80s on Doordarshan, this would hardly be nostalgic. If anything, it will ruin your childhood memories forever." [12] Reza Noorani of The Times of India said that "The movie is purely for kids, because it doesn’t offer much in the way of narrating Ramayana differently to grown-ups. Considering it was made eight years ago, the animation is good. However, in 2016, it leaves you wanting for more". [7] Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express said that "The animation of this movie is eye-catching but it is drowned by sheer noise". [13]
The Rāmāyaṇa is a Sanskrit epic from ancient India, one of the two important epics of Hinduism, known as the Itihasas (history), the other being the Mahābhārata. The epic, traditionally ascribed to the Maharishi Valmiki, narrates the life of Rama, a legendary prince of Ayodhya in the kingdom of Kosala. The epic follows his fourteen-year exile to the forest urged by his father King Dasharatha, on the request of Rama's stepmother Kaikeyi; his travels across forests in the Indian subcontinent with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana, the kidnapping of Sita by Ravana – the king of Lanka, that resulted in war; and Rama's eventual return to Ayodhya to be crowned king amidst jubilation and celebration.
Ravana is a multi-headed rakshasa (demon) king of the island of Lanka, and the chief antagonist in the Hindu epic Ramayana. In the Ramayana, Ravana is described as the eldest son of sage Vishrava and rakshasi Kaikesi. He abducted Prince Rama's wife, Sita, and took her to his kingdom of Lanka, where he held her in the Ashoka Vatika. Rama, with the support of vanara King Sugriva and his army of vanaras, launched an invasion against Ravana in Lanka. Ravana was subsequently slain, and Rama rescued his beloved wife Sita.

Sita Sings the Blues is a 2008 American animated musical romantic comedy-drama film written, directed, produced and animated by American artist Nina Paley. It intersperses events from the Ramayana, light-hearted but knowledgeable discussion of historical background by a trio of Indian shadow puppets, musical interludes voiced with tracks by Annette Hanshaw and scenes from the artist's own life. Arjun: The Warrior Prince is a 2012 Indian animated action film, directed by Arnab Chaudhuri, written by Rajesh Devraj, and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under UTV Motion Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures. The film was written through Arjun’s point of view, an unsung hero of the Mahabharata. The film was released in India on 25 May 2012. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures held a week-long limited engagement on 1 September 2012 at the El Capitan Theater to qualify for Academy Awards consideration. However, the film was not nominated.

Sri Rama Rajyam is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language Hindu mythological film directed by Bapu who co-wrote the film with Mullapudi Venkata Ramana, and produced by Yalamanchali Saibabu. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nayanthara, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Srikanth, and its music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was Bapu's final directorial venture. Based on the epic Ramayana, it depicts Rama's rule of Ayodhya after he returns home from Lanka, his separation from Sita and her reclusive life in the forest as she raises their children Lava and Kusa. Sri Rama Rajyam is a reboot of the 1963 blockbuster film Lava Kusa.

Madhuurima Banerjee, also known by her stage name Nyra Banerjee, is an Indian actress who appears predominantly in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada language films. Raag Desh is a 2017 Indian historical action drama film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by Gurdeep Singh Sappal and Rajya Sabha TV. The film is based on Indian National Army trials, the joint court martial of Indian National Army officers Colonel Prem Sahgal, Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon, Major Shah Nawaz Khan on charges of treason against the British Empire during World War 2. The leading roles in Raag Desh have been played by Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Mohit Marwah and Mrudula Murali. The film was released on July 28, 2017. Rishi Punjabi is the cinematographer of the film.
Kabir Singh is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under T-Series Films and Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde under Cine1 Studios.
