Plot

Shikha Gupta is a smart, kind, and nerdy woman. Her family is approached by Sameer Verma, a successful businessman who seems to be the perfect guy for her. The two get married and have a baby. Though things seem perfect, Sameer is not who he says he is—his real name is Aditya Jagannath and he staged everything. He attempts to murder Shikha and kidnaps their child. Shikha survives the murder attempt and embarks on a quest to reclaim her son and take revenge against Aditya, who is already married to a woman named Madhurima. He had asked Neeraj, his friend, to stalk Shikha so he could "save" her to impress her. Knowing the truth now, Neeraj stands by Shikha and helps her in her elaborate plan as her accomplice.

Shikha gives herself a makeover and takes on a new identity and name: Samaira Seth. As Samaira, she moves into the Jaggannath Group as their brand ambassador. She convinces Aditya that she is Samaira, not Shikha, and he falls in love with her. One day, he tells her about what he did with Shikha. She asks him to prove that Madhu was behind the masterplan. In order to gain Samaira's trust, Aditya gets Madhu drunk and she confesses everything. Aditya and Samaira send Madhu to the mental hospital, then get married, as per her plan.

Aditya discovers that Samaira is Shikha and plans with Madhu to kill her again. They blackmail her into burying herself alive but when they reach the cliff where Shikha was pushed off by Aditya, Shikha stands there, alive and well. While fighting Neeraj, Aditya falls off the same cliff, hanging on in desperation.

Madhu is arrested. Shikha grabs hold of Aditya's hand but lets go: the same thing he did to her. He falls to his death. Neeraj, who has fallen in love with Shikha by this point, displays his feelings; she accepts him and the couple walk away hand-in-hand with her son.
