Malaysia competed at the 2022 ASEAN Para Games in Surakarta, Indonesia from 30 July to 6 August 2022. The Malaysian contingent consisted of 73 athletes and 43 officials [2] [3] where it is the smallest contingent sent to the games since the first edition in 2001. [4] [5]

Tan Sri Dato' Haji Mahiaddin bin Md. Yasin, commonly known as Muhyiddin bin Mohd. Yassin, is a Malaysian politician who served as the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia from 2020 to 2021. Appointed as prime minister amid a political crisis, Muhyiddin served for 17 months and resigned after losing parliamentary support.
The 2009 ASEAN Para Games, officially known as the 5th ASEAN Para Games, was a Southeast Asian disabled multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 15 to 19 August 2009. This was the second time Malaysia hosted the ASEAN Para Games and its first time since 2001.
Mohd Puad Zarkashi is a Malaysian politician who has served as Speaker of the Johor State Legislative Assembly since April 2022 and Member of the Johor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Rengit since March 2022. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the ruling BN coalition. He is also Member of the Supreme Council of UMNO. He is a regarded as a vocal supporter of Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and former Prime Minister Najib Razak as well as critic of Perikatan Nasional (PN).
The 2017 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 29th Southeast Asian Games, or the 29th SEA Games, and commonly known as Kuala Lumpur 2017, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event that took place from 19 to 30 August 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This was the sixth time that Malaysia hosted the games and its first time since 2001. Previously, it had also hosted the 1965, 1971, 1977 and 1989 editions of the games. The 2017 edition is most notable for being the first edition to include winter sports.
Unplugged is a live album by Malaysian recording artist Siti Nurhaliza. It was released in multiple formats, both physical and digital in Malaysia on 30 June 2015. The main live tracks were all taken from her 2015 unplugged concert at Istana Budaya on 7 April 2015. The CD, digital download and LP record versions of the album however come with three new bonus songs, "Menatap dalam Mimpi", "Engkau" ("You") and "Mikraj Cinta". All were recorded specifically to accompany the three audio releases.

Muhammad Ziyad bin Zolkefli is a Malaysian Paralympic athlete who competes in T20 classification shot put events. He has represented Malaysia in multiple Paralympics, World Championships and regional games, previously holding the world record in his division.
The 2017 Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah madrasa fire, which occurred at around 5:10 am on 14 September 2017, where a fire broke out at the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah madrasa in Kampung Datuk Keramat, Kuala Lumpur resulted in 23 of the madrasa residents killed, while five others were reportedly injured.
Malaysia participated in the 2017 ASEAN Para Games from 17 to 23 September 2017 as the host nation of the 9th edition of the Games. The Malaysian contingent was represented by 326 athletes and 167 officials.

At the last edition in Incheon, the country placed 14 in the medals tally, with 5 gold medals from squash, sailing, and karate. In 2018 edition, Malaysia was represented by 447 athletes and 140 officials at the Games. Abdul Azim Mohamad Zabidi, the Appeals Committee chairman of the Olympic Council of Malaysia was the chief of the delegation.
Malaysia competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the nation's official debut in 1956 under the name Malaya, Malaysian athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, except for Moscow 1980 in Moscow because of the United States-led boycott.
The National Concord was a Malaysian political coalition that was formed between the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) against the then-ruling Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition which had come into power after the 2018 Malaysian general election (GE14). The political cooperation between the two largest Malay/Muslim-based parties was officialised with the signing of the Piagam Muafakat Nasional. The five-point charter was signed by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and UMNO president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in the Himpunan Penyatuan Ummah held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur on 14 September 2019. Its main aim is to unite the Malay/Muslim community or Ummah for electoral purposes.

Malaysia participated at the 2017 Asian Youth Para Games which was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 10 to 14 December 2017. Malaysia contingent had 12 athletes competed in five sports and was led by chef de mission, Siti Zaharah Abdul Khalid.

Muhammad Azeem bin Mohd Fahmi is a Malaysian sprinter. He is the current Malaysian 100 metres outdoor record holder with a time of 10.09 seconds. He currently holds the Malaysian national under-20 record in the 200 metres with a time of 20.83 seconds.
Malaysia competed at the 2023 ASEAN Para Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 3 to 9 June 2023. The Malaysian contingent consisted of 144 athletes, 116 being men and 28 women. The contingent also included 84 officials. Noor Syahieda Mat Shah is the delegation's chef de mission.
