Malekiyeh-ye Olya (Persian : مالكيه عليا‎, also Romanized as Mālekīyeh-ye ‘Olyā; also known as Mālekīyeh and Mālekīyeh-ye ‘Olyā Mashrūţeh)^[1] is a village in Howmeh-ye Sharqi Rural District, in the Central District of Dasht-e Azadegan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 2,031, in 359 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Howmeh-ye Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Dasht-e Azadegan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 23,372, in 4,196 families. The rural district has 17 villages.
