Mandoline is the debut album by Phil Beer, released in 1978/1979 [1] on Greenwich Village record label. It follows 1976's Dance Without Music , the second album he recorded with Paul Downes. As the title of this album suggests, a theme on the album is the mandolin, an instrument Beer has used in almost all of his work.

The album is scarce. It is unknown how many copies were pressed, but it has never been reissued.

The band even reprised a song from their debut, "The Blacksmith", with a strikingly different arrangement making extensive use of syncopation. Re-recording songs would be a minor theme in Steeleye's output over the years, with the band eventually releasing an entire album of reprises, Present – The Very Best of Steeleye Span.

Dervish (band)

Dervish is an Irish traditional music group from County Sligo, Ireland which has been described by BBC Radio 3 as "an icon of Irish music". They were formed in 1989 by Liam Kelly, Shane Mitchell, Martin McGinley, Brian McDonagh, and Michael Holmes and have been fronted by singer Cathy Jordan since 1991. They represented Ireland in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, singing a song written by John Waters and Tommy Moran. In 2019 they released an album on the US Rounder Records label called The Great Irish Song Book featuring a selection of classic Irish songs sung by a number of well known singers including Steve Earle, Andrea Corr, Vince Gill, Kate Rusby, Imelda May, Rhiannon Giddens, The Steel Drivers, Brendan Gleeson, Abigail Washburn, and Jamey Johnson. In 2019 they received a lifetime achievement award from the BBC.

The Fiddle Collection is a studio album with tracks from various British fiddle players produced by Phil Beer. Released in 1999, it was Beer's first solo project of the year during his temporary break from Show of Hands. Promoted with the tagline "this really is modern folk music", it featured fifteen different, original tracks by different UK violin-playing folk musicians, and was designed to represent the fiddle and folk scene in the United Kingdom.

Madison Beer American singer

Madison Elle Beer is an American singer and model. Beer's music career began at the age of 13 when Justin Bieber tweeted a link to a cover she performed on YouTube. She was subsequently signed to Island Records, and she began recording and releasing singles over the next few years. In February 2018, she released her debut EP, As She Pleases. Rykka

Christina Maria Rieder, better known by her stage name Rykka, is a Swiss-Canadian singer and songwriter from Vancouver, British Columbia. Her songs have been featured on TV, and she has been nominated for several music awards both in British Columbia, and across Canada. On May 12, 2016, she represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm with the song "The Last of Our Kind". She sang in the second semi-final of the event.
