Mara (Persian : مراع‎, also Romanized as Marā‘)^[1] is a village in Khabar Rural District, Dehaj District, Shahr-e Babak County, Kerman Province, Iran. According to the 2006 census, the population is 149, in 25 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Khabar Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Dehaj District, Shahr-e Babak County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,089, in 804 families. The rural district has 44 villages.

Dehaj District is a district (bakhsh) in Shahr-e Babak County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 25,641, in 5,293 families. The District has two cities: Dehaj and Jowzam.
