Marc Balet

Marc Balet (born 1943) is an American creative and art director, architect, and the former art director of Interview Magazine . [1]

He graduated from RISD in Providence, Rhode Island with a degree in architecture. [2] In 1975, at the age of 32, he was awarded a Prix de Rome in architecture. The Whitney Museum of American Art held a solo exhibition of his work titled Dream Houses. [3]

Balet was the art director of Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine from 1976 until 1987. [4] [5]

He went on to found his own advertising agency (mixedbusiness.com) whose clients have included Anne Klein, Barney's, and Giorgio Armani. [6] [7] In 2015 Balet launched Ouihours an "online magazine and e-commerce site devoted entirely to luxury intimates". [8]

Balet was interviewed on screen in the Netflix docuseries The Andy Warhol Diaries in which he notably called former Interview editor Bob Colacello an "asshole" for having put then United States First Lady Nancy Reagan on the cover of the magazine. [9]

Orange Prince(1984) is a painting by American artist Andy Warhol of Prince, the American singer, songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, actor, and director. The painting is one of twelve silkscreen portraits on canvas of Prince created by Warhol in 1984, based on an original photograph provided to Warhol by Vanity Fair. The photograph was taken by Lynn Goldsmith. These paintings and four additional works on paper are collectively known as the Prince Series. Each painting is unique and can be distinguished by colour.

The Andy Warhol Diaries is an American documentary streaming television limited series from writer, director Andrew Rossi, and executive producer Ryan Murphy, based on the 1989 non-fiction book of the same name by Andy Warhol, as edited by Pat Hackett. The series features the famed pop artist narrating his own diary entries through the employment of AI. The series premiered on Netflix on March 9, 2022, consisting of six episodes.

Paige Powell is an American photographer, curator, art consultant, and animal rights activist. Powell was the public affairs director of the Portland Zoo before she moved to New York City in 1980. Between 1982 and 1994, she worked at Interview magazine. She started out selling advertising and eventually became the associate publisher. As Andy Warhol's close friend and confidante, she became immersed in the 1980s New York City art scene. Since returning to her native Portland in 1994, she has split her time between working on art projects and supporting animal charities.

Wilfredo Rosado is an American jewelry designer. He held various positions at Armani and worked for Interview magazine before becoming a luxury high jeweler. In 2011, Rosado founded his eponymous high jewelry collection. He launched the fine jewelry line W. Rosado in 2020.
