On 17 January 2018, Tavernier joined relegation-threatened EFL League One side Milton Keynes Dons on loan until the end of the 2017–18 season. [16] On 1 August 2022, Tavernier joined Bournemouth on a five-year deal. [17] Tavernier made his debut for the club on 6 August in a 2–0 home win over Aston Villa in the Premier League. He was praised by manager Scott Parker for his performance in the match. [18]
On 16 June 2023, he signed a new deal until 2028.
Tavernier made his international debut at U19 level, starting in a 2–2 draw against Slovakia U19s at the NTC Senec stadium on 9 October 2017. [19] In July 2018, he was included in the squad for the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. [20] He scored in a group stage draw against Ukraine. [21]
