Chester W. Nimitz Senior High School is a public secondary school made up of two campuses located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. The campuses have Houston addresses. The school is located directly across the street from Lone Star College–North Harris and west of Bush Intercontinental Airport The school serves portions of Houston, the Aldine Independent School District portion of Humble, and unincorporated areas of Harris County. Nimitz is one of five comprehensive high schools in Aldine ISD. The main campus serves 10th through 12th grade, while Nimitz Ninth Grade Center serves 9th grade.

The school currently has approximately 1,200 students enrolled, with that number continuing to grow as Hampshire County is listed among the fastest growing school systems in the state. It is the only high school in the school division that offers an International Baccalaureate program. The school building is located on historic Granby Street where the south end is at Downtown Norfolk and the north end where the beaches of Ocean View lie. Granby is also less than a mile away from the historic Wards Corner, a local shopping and eating center. In 2010, Newsweek placed Granby in the top 1300 of "America's Top Public High Schools". The Three Rivers Athletic Conference is an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) high school athletic conference that began athletic competition in 2011 and has 10 high schools from Northwest Ohio, seven of which are from the Toledo metropolitan area, and one each from the cities of Findlay, Fremont and Lima. Ken Myers, former director of public safety and public services in Fremont, is the league's inaugural commissioner. The three rivers from which the conference derives its name are the Maumee, Sandusky, and Blanchard.

Flora Lonette Davis Crittenden was an American educator and civil rights activist in Virginia turned politician. She worked as a teacher and guidance counselor in Newport News, Virginia public schools for 32 years, then in 1986 was elected to the Newport News City Council where she served for four years. In 1993 she was elected a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from Newport News, Virginia, and served for eleven years. In 2000, she became chair of the board of Christopher Newport University. A science and math magnet middle school in Newport News is named for her.
