Marciano Arcega "Mark" Reyes V (born March 28, 1969) is a Filipino film, television and music video director and film writer known for his multi-stranded storylines. He is a resident director and writer of GMA Network.

He is the uncle of the Kapuso actress, Terry Malvar and the nephew of veteran film and television director and writer Jose Javier Reyes, Chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Encantadia is a 2005 Philippine television drama fantasy series broadcast by GMA Network. The series is the first installment of the Encantadia franchise. Directed by Mark A. Reyes, it stars Sunshine Dizon, Iza Calzado, Karylle, Diana Zubiri, Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado. It premiered on May 2, 2005 on the network's Telebabad line up. The series concluded on December 9, 2005 with a total of 160 episodes. It was replaced by Etheria: Ang Ikalimang Kaharian ng Encantadia in its timeslot.

Rosemarie Joy Garcia-Smith, better known by her stage name Diana Zubiri, is a Filipina actress. She was discovered by Seiko Films when she was 15, years after applying for work in Japan. She then had sexy roles in various films by Seiko. In October 2002, Zubiri became widely known in the Philippines after posing on the top of the EDSA–Shaw flyover in Mandaluyong, wearing only a two-piece bikini. That photo shoot for FHM Philippines sparked controversy and prompted the then Mayor of Mandaluyong, Benhur Abalos, to file charges against Zubiri and FHM but it was later withdrawn after an apology.

Due to its significant success, the third series title Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas premiered in 2006 consisting of 48 episodes. In 2016, 11 years after the original run, a reboot of the series premiered on the same network featuring a new cast. In 2005, Encantadia had a crossover film with Mulawin entitled Mulawin: The Movie, which was produced by GMA Pictures as an entry to the 2005 Metro Manila Film Festival.
