Mark Ramsey Wharton is a British musician who has worked as the drummer of Acid Reign, [1] [2] Cathedral, Cronos, Asomvel and Workshed. [3]
Wharton formed Acid Reign in 1985, along with Kevin "Kev" Papworth, Ian Gangwer, Howard "H" Smith and Gaz Jennings, [4] whom he had met at Granby High School in Harrogate [5] Acid Reign eventually broke up in 1991 after the release of their 1990 album "Obnoxious", [6] [7] leading to Wharton joining his ex-Acid Reign bandmates Gaz Jennings and Adam Lehan in Cathedral in 1992. [8] [9] Wharton then proceeded to form the band Asomvel with Jay-Jay Winter (whom he had played with in an early band, called "Lochenbar") and Lenny Robinson in 1993. [10] [11] At this time, Wharton would also join Venom vocalist Conrad Lant's eponymous band Cronos, [12] [13] however, by 1996 Wharton was no longer present in any of these projects.
Harrogate is a spa town in North Yorkshire, England. Coming to prominence towards the end of the new wave of British heavy metal, Venom's first two albums, Welcome to Hell (1981) and Black Metal (1982), are considered major influences on thrash metal and extreme metal in general. Venom's second album proved influential enough that its title was used as the name of the black metal genre.

Jeff "Mantas" Dunn is a British guitarist best known as one of the founding members of seminal thrash/speed metal band Venom, with which he played as a guitarist from 1979 to 1985 and 1989 to 2002.
Calm Before the Storm is the fifth album by Venom. The original title of the album would have been Deadline, but the title was changed when guitarist Jeffrey "Mantas" Dunn left the band and was replaced by Jimi Clare and Mike Hickey. Both were to follow bassist Conrad "Cronos" Lant in his later solo career and the latter would also return on the 2006 album Metal Black.

Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is a live album released by English heavy metal band Venom in 1986. It contains partial recordings of two different concerts with two different setlists. The first disc contains a show recorded at Hammersmith Odeon in London on 8 October 1985 and the second disc recorded at The Ritz in New York City on 4 and 5 April 1986. The title Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is German for "A Little Night Music". The title is taken from Mozart's piece of the same name.
Antony "Antton" Lant is an English drummer, best known for his time with British thrash metal band Venom. He was the band's drummer from 2000-2009 and recorded three albums with them. His oldest brother is Graham Lant former drummer of Prefab Sprout he is also the brother of Venom's lead singer "Cronos" and direct cousin of the front man of Enthroned and occultist, Nornagest. He left Venom in order to concentrate on his groove metal band DEF CON ONE. He was also a part of the metal band Dryll together with former Venom guitarist Jeffrey Dunn. Although he is best known as a drummer, he is also an avid guitarist.

Garry "Gaz" Jennings is an English musician best known for his work as the guitarist for doom metal band Cathedral. In addition, he has also worked as the guitarist of thrash metal band Acid Reign, punk rock band Septic Tank and heavy metal bands Lucifer and Death Penalty.
Workshed is an English heavy metal band formed in Harrogate in 2014. The band consists of former Cathedral and Acid Reign members Adam Lehan and Mark Wharton, and Helen Storer. Their debut self-titled album, recorded by Jaime Arellano, was released on 13 September 2019 through Rise Above Records.
"Bloodlust" is a single released by English extreme metal band Venom on August 13, 1982 through Neat Records. It is the bands second single and the follow up to their debut single "In League with Satan / Live Like an Angel".
