Markovo (pronounced [ˈmaːɾkɔʋɔ] ) is a small dispersed settlement in the Municipality of Kamnik in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

There are numerous herders' dwellings that comprise several settlement areas: Velika Planina 'Big Pasture', Mala Planina 'Little Pasture', Gojška Planina 'Gozd Pasture', Tiha Dolina 'Quiet Valley', and others. The Big Pasture Plateau is a tourist destination both in winter as a ski resort and in summer as a place for relaxation.
Nogometni Klub Stol Virtus, commonly referred to as NK Stol Virtus or simply Stol, was a Slovenian football club from Kamnik. The club was formed as SK Virtus in 1930 in the industrial Kamnik settlement, Duplica. After the war it was renamed to NK Svoboda Duplica and competed in lower rangs until 1965, when it ceased to exist for a decade. Due to the financial collapse of city rivals NK Kamnik and sponsorship of strong furniture company Stol, the club managed to take the primacy in Kamnik football. They were renamed to NK Stol and came all the way to Slovenian first league in 1981. The club was later renamed to NK Stol Virtus, but withdrew from competitions in 1991.

Odbojkarski klub Kamnik, commonly referred to as Calcit Kamnik or Calcit Volley due to sponsorship reasons, is a Slovenian volleyball team from Kamnik. The team competes in the Slovenian League and in regional MEVZA Cup. Kamnik was founded in 1947, and won the Slovenian League and Slovenian Cup three times.
Odbojkarski klub Kamnik, commonly referred to as Calcit Kamnik or Calcit Volley due to sponsorship reasons, is a Slovenian women's volleyball team from Kamnik. The team competes in the Slovenian League and in regional MEVZA Cup. In 2015, the women's selection of OK Kamnik merged with OK Vital, relocated to Ljubljana and renamed to Calcit Ljubljana. The club returned to Kamnik after the 2016–17 season.
