Markus Werba (born 14 November 1973) is an Austrian baritone opera singer. [1]
Born in Carinthia, Austria, Werba began his vocal training aged 16. He studied at the Conservatory of Klagenfurt and University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna with Ralf Doering, Robert Holl and Walter Berry. He has won numerous competitions for his singing in Austria, Italy, Japan, Slovakia and the UK. He was chosen as Guglielmo in 1997 ( Così fan tutte ) for the inauguration of the Nuovo Piccolo Teatro in Milan by Giorgio Strehler.
After his debut in Milan he sang in all major opera houses.

A tenor is a type of classical male singing voice whose vocal range lies between the countertenor and baritone voice types. It is the highest male chest voice type. Composers typically write music for this voice in the range from the second B below middle C to the G above middle C (i.e. B2 to G4) in choral music, and from the second B flat below middle C to the C above middle C (B♭2 to C5) in operatic music, but the range can extend at either end. Subtypes of tenor include the leggero tenor, lyric tenor, spinto tenor, dramatic tenor, heldentenor, and tenor buffo or spieltenor.

Phyllis Curtin was an American soprano and academic teacher who had an active career in operas and concerts from the early 1950s through the 1980s. She is known for her creation of roles in operas by Carlisle Floyd, such as the title role in Susannah and Catherine Earnshaw in Wuthering Heights. Elżbieta Szmytka is a Polish operatic soprano. She has appeared internationally, including at the Vienna State Opera, where she performed Mozart roles such as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Despina in Così fan tutte. In 1999, she recorded Chopin's Polish songs and performed in a concert in 2018 celebrating a century of Polish independence as a soloist in Górecki's Symphony of Sorrowful Songs.

Kwangchul Youn is a South Korean operatic bass and academic voice teacher. He made an international career based in Germany, from 1994 to 2004 at the Berlin State Opera. He has performed leading roles at international opera houses and festivals, such as Gurnemanz in Parsifal at the Bayreuth Festival, Mephisto in Faust at the Vienna State Opera, and King Marke in Tristan und Isolde at the Metropolitan Opera.
