Martin T. Sherman (born 1971 [1] ) is an American actor, director, writer and inventor.

Early life

Martin T. Sherman was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is a graduate of Gibbs High School. [2]

Career

Sherman has starred in several films and television as well as providing voice acting for several video games, including Pac-Man in Pac-Man World 3 , the first time the character ever had a voice actor in his games.[ citation needed ] From 2009 to 2015, Sherman voiced Thomas and Percy in the US version of the children's television series Thomas & Friends, as well as providing their voices for the Day out with Thomas dummy units (and the steam locomotive at the Strasburg Rail Road). He also voiced Diesel in the show's US dub from 2013 to 2015, taking over from former U.S. narrator Michael Brandon. [3] [4] [5] After Sherman's departure from the series, Joseph May, Christopher Ragland, and Kerry Shale had taken over the roles of Thomas, Percy, and Diesel respectively, though Shale had already voiced the character in the U.K. dub.

In addition to his acting work, Sherman is also an inventor, specializing in ocean engineering.

Thomas and the Magic Railroad is a 2000 children's fantasy adventure film written and directed by Britt Allcroft and produced by Allcroft and Phil Fehrle; the cast includes Alec Baldwin, Peter Fonda, Mara Wilson, Didi Conn, Russell Means, Cody McMains, Michael E. <i>The Railway Series</i> British fictional book series about trains and railways

The Railway Series is a series of British books about a railway known as the North Western Railway, located on the fictional Island of Sodor. There are 42 books in the series, the first published in May 1945 by the Rev. Wilbert Awdry. Twenty-six books were written by Awdry, the final one being written in October 1972. Sixteen more were written by his son, Christopher Awdry, between September 1983 and July 2011. The series features many anthropomorphic vehicles, including Thomas the Tank Engine. Thomas became the most popular and famous character in the series and the titular character of the television series Thomas & Friends from 1984 to 2021. The children's television series originated as adaptations of these stories.

He provided the English voices for Josuke Higashikata in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, Takuto Maruki in Persona 5 Royal, Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero, and Ferdinand von Aegir in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Kametz died from colorectal cancer at the age of 35.
