Harare Sports Club is a sports club and the Harare Sports Club Ground is a cricket stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe. Founded in 1900 and known as Salisbury Sports Club until 1982, it is mostly used for cricket matches, and has served as the primary cricket venue in Rhodesia and Zimbabwe since its foundation. Other sports played at the club are rugby, tennis, golf and squash.
The Rhodesia cricket team played first-class cricket and represented originally the British colony of Southern Rhodesia and later the unilaterally independent state of Rhodesia which became Zimbabwe. Sunrise Sports Club is a cricket ground in Harare, Zimbabwe. The ground is bordered to the north and east by housing and to the west and south by open ground. First-class cricket was first played there in August 1998 when the Zimbabwe Cricket Union President's XI played the South Africa Academy, resulting in a six wicket victory for the President's XI. In October of that same year the ground held a second first-class fixture, with the President's XI playing the touring Indians, which the tourists won by an innings and 71 runs. The ground was scheduled to host a first-class match the following season in the 1998–99 Logan Cup between Mashonaland and Mashonaland A, however the match was abandoned without a ball bowled. India later played a one-day warm-up match at the ground against Zimbabwe A during their 2001 tour.
The Alexandra Sports Club is a sporting complex in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. The venue's primary use is as a cricket ground, and it has hosted both international and domestic fixtures.
The Harare South Country Club is a country club to the south of Harare. Its facilities include a golf course and a cricket ground. The cricket ground has played host to first-class and List A one-day matches. It first hosted first-class cricket in 1987, when Zimbabwe B played Pakistan B. Following Zimbabwe's elevation to Test status in 1992, matches in the Logan Cup gained first-class status, with both Mashonaland Country Districts and Mashonaland using the ground for home matches; the ground also played host to List A matches for both Mashonaland Country Districts and Zimbabwe Country Districts, in addition to hosting three matches in the 2000 ICC Emerging Nations Tournament. First-class cricket has not been played there since 1997 and List A cricket has not been played there since 2001.
