Matheus Lima Da Silva (born 1 June 2003) is a Brazilian sprinter and hurdler specialising in the 400 metres and 400 metres hurdles. [1]

In March 2024, he ran the second fastest time in Brazilian history in the 400m, with a time of 44.52, behind only Sanderlei Parrela. With this, he qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics. [2]

In April 2024, he obtained his second Olympic standard for the Paris 2024 Games, in the 400m hurdles, with a time of 48.55. [3]

Mahau Camargo Suguimati is a Brazilian track hurdler of Japanese ancestry. Since the age of eight, Suguimati had lived and studied for sixteen years in Niiza, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Suguimati also attended schools around the prefecture, where he discovered his natural ability and talent of running and hurdling, under his personal coach and trainer Atsushi Hishinuma. He made his international debut, and represented his birth nation Brazil at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, where he finished seventh in the final of the 400 m hurdles, with his personal best time of 49.63 seconds.

The 2015 South American Championships in Athletics was the 49th edition of the biennial athletics competition between South American nations. Lucas da Silva Carvalho is a Brazilian sprinter specialising in the 400 metres. He represented his country at the 2017 World Championships without qualifying for the semifinals. He was also an unused reserve runner for the Brazilian 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Gabriel Oliveira Constantino is a Brazilian hurdler. He is the current South American record holder in the 110m hurdles, with a time of 13.18. Constantino finished 6th in the men's 60 metres hurdles at the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships. He advanced to the final on time, being the second fastest and final non-automatic qualifier. To qualify for the championships, he equaled at national and South American record of 7.60 seconds.

Rai Benjamin is an American hurdler and sprinter specializing in the 400 m and 400 m hurdles. He is the second fastest man in history in the 400 m hurdles with a personal best time of 46.17 s. He won a silver medal at his first Olympic Games in 2021 and won the 400 m hurdles race at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Benjamin also won silver medals and at the World Championships in 2019 and 2022 in the men's 400 m hurdles, and gold medals in the 4 × 400 m relay in 2019 and 2021.

Fernando Muhlenberg Scheffer is a Brazilian swimmer. In the 200 metre freestyle, he is the bronze medalist of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the gold medalist at the 2019 Pan American Games and the South American record holder in the event. He became the world champion and world record holder in the 4x200m freestyle relay at the 2018 World Swimming Championships in short course.
