Mathieu Gilles Marquet (born 11 January 1994) is a Mauritian swimmer.
Marquet first competed for Mauritius at the 2009 World Championships in Rome, where he finished 79th in the 200 metre backstroke in 2:29.91, [1] 89th in the 400 metre freestyle in 4:32.36, [2] 90th in the 200 metre individual medley in 2:25.76, [3] 106th in the 100 metre backstroke in 1:07.26, [4] 112th in the 50 metre backstroke in 31.18, [5] 122nd in the 200 metre freestyle in 2:06.44 [6] and with Jean Hugues Gregoire, Ronny Vencatachellum and Jean Marie Froget finished 36th in the 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay. [7]
At the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai, Marquet finished 57th in the 200 metre freestyle in 2:02.41. [8]
At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Marquet finished 39th in the 200 metre freestyle in 1:58.91. [9]
At the 2012 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m) in Istanbul, Marquet finished 65th in the 200 metre freestyle in 1:57.07, [10] 94th in the 100 metre freestyle in 53.54 [11] and was disqualified in the 200 metre individual medley. [12]
At the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona, Marquet finished 38th in the 50 metre backstroke in 28.54 [13] and 56th in the 200 metre freestyle in 1:57.48. [14]
In 2019, he represented Mauritius at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea. [15] In 2019, he also represented Mauritius at the 2019 African Games held in Rabat, Morocco. [16]
At the 2020 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's 100 metre freestyle event. [17]
The World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships is an international swimming championship event organized biennially by World Aquatics for girls and boys who are aged 14–18 on the 31st December of the year of the competition. It is usually held on odd years. Prior to 2023, the event was known as the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships and was open to girls who were aged 14–17 and boys who were aged 15–18 on the 31st of December of the year of the competition.
The swimming portion of the 2011 FINA World Championships was held July 24–31 at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai, China. Swimming is one of five aquatic disciplines at the championships.

Evgeny Mikhailovich Rylov is a Russian competitive swimmer and Olympic champion specializing in backstroke events. He won three gold medals at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, and a bronze medal at his senior international debut at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan. He also won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, both were in the 200 metre backstroke event. In 2018, at the 2018 World Short Course Championships, he won gold medals in the 200 metre backstroke and 50 metre backstroke. Travis Mahoney is an Australian medley and backstroke swimmer. Winner of two relay medals at the 2012 World Short Course Championships, he is also part of the quartet that broke the world record in the short course mixed 4 × 50 metres freestyle relay. In 2016, he qualified for his first Olympic Games.
Michele Lamberti is a competitive Italian swimmer. He is a former world record holder in the short course 4×50-metre medley relay. He currently holds the Italian record in the short course 50-metre backstroke. At the 2021 European Short Course Championships he won a gold medal and set a world record in the 4×50-metre medley relay, won three silver medals, one in the 50-metre backstroke, one in the 100-metre butterfly, and one in the 4×50-metre mixed medley relay, and won a bronze medal in the 200-metre backstroke. At the 2021 World Short Course Championships he won two bronze medals in relay events, swimming in the preliminaries for each relay.
