"The Recluse" is the fourth single from Plan B's second album The Defamation of Strickland Banks. The single was released on 4 October 2010. "The Recluse" has been labeled as "one of his best singles to date" by critics, "neatly marrying poignancy and aggression into a 4-minute-long track with a surplus of scaling strings and his voice showing more desperation for release than ever before." This song was covered by George Michael during his "Symphonica" tour.
"Higher" is the fifth single from English singer-songwriter Taio Cruz's second studio album, Rokstarr. It was written and produced by Cruz and Sandy Vee, and was released on 26 November 2010. This song was originally written for Australian singer Kylie Minogue's album Aphrodite, but plans fell through. However, Cruz and Minogue recorded a version of the song for the European release, while American rapper Travie McCoy recorded guest raps for the American release. The Brazilian and United Kingdom versions have parts of McCoy's rap mixed into the Minogue version. The version on Cruz's albums feature a solo vocal by Cruz with no guest vocalist and an edited version of the solo version was added to Radio Disney's playlist.
"Addiction" is a song by Danish singer Medina from her international debut studio album Welcome to Medina. It was released as the third single from the album on 1 November 2010. The electropop song was written by Medina, Providers and Lisa Greene and it was produced by Providers. "Addiction" peaked at number one in Denmark, becoming Medina's fifth number-one single. In the US, the song peaked at number one on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart.
"Jungle" is a song by British rapper Professor Green, released as the fourth and final single from his debut studio album, Alive Till I'm Dead. The track features vocals from Irish singer Maverick Sabre. The single was released was on 3 January 2011. The track won an award for "Best Dancefloor Filler" at the 2011 NME Awards. The music video for "Jungle" was shot in Green's hometown of Hackney, London. Green revealed that, in the video he hired locals instead of actors. The video was released on 9 November 2010.

In 2013, the Skrillex and Nero remix of the song, won the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. The song was featured on a Hewlett-Packard TV commercial in the United Kingdom, France, United States and Latin America, giving it a broader audience and more recognition.
